In my opinion manhattan review has an edge over princeton.. In The quality of exams mainly.. and u can also look out for Kaplan.. whose mock tests are so hard that u would find the actual GMAT to be a walk in the park.. i even heard some positive reviews of an 'achievers point'.. may be u can explore that too.. good luck..

Regret to say that both are horrible. I scored awfully bad in GMAT and, after a week time, I went to Princeton and attempted their proprietary online test at lifestyle center. I scored 680. Guys can you believe it? If the questions type has so difference in level of complexity and of quality, what will be the basis to get proper evaluation and guidance? Without prep you will score 690+ at princeton center and you, then, will be complacent with your prep until you get knee jerk on real exam.
Later on, I went to Manhattan Review at himayat nagar. After I revealed about my low intensity in verbal and about my previous attempt, they did not sound impressive to me. I met one guy at their institute, and he told me the same story.
It is good to have small group of people and start prep. Use Manhattan GMAT. they are really good.

I completely agree wit Honcho views on GMAT Prep institute.. I did some background research on all the top insti Manhattan, Princeton Review and another local one.. my feeling was that they mayn't be able to add great value but they may help in human networking and to keep you agile for the Prep.
I decided not to go for any of them (thats my personal view). You contact me, if you guys need any material as i have good collections...:-)

Keep connecting, Cheers!!
Abhishek

Thanks absaha,Head_Honcho,Siva for your opinions.

Thing is i have enrolled in Manhatten begumpet on Saturday as its near to my room and sounds good with their each day dedication task allotted for preparation.

I could not even opt for any coaching institute if i can dedicate myself to prepare by own,but i need some regularity and discipline in my preparation so i went for that.

Again its personal choice. At last what matters how much we our self prepares,Is not it?:-o:-o:-o:-o:-o
Hi Head Honcho, you could able to score 680 with out coaching ,Hats off man...:cheerio::cheerio::cheerio:

Hi Guys...Am looking for a Study partner...I am intending to give my luck a chance somewhere in September this year...but because of the versatile role I play, sometimes as a Student, sometimes as a Boss, sometimes as a subordinate, sometimes as a Son, sometimes as a Father, sometimes as Husband...I get limited time to gauge thru...so thought of starting my preps immediately...I have ofcourse joined a institute also, where I wud start Class sessions only from May...so till then may be I can work on Basics...My Profile:
Age: 32..
Sex: Male
Qual: MBA
Exp: 10 years
Industry: now NGO, previously MNC banks...
Strengths: Gave my GMAT last year, my Quant was ok..at 45...
Weakness: My Verbal though sounded ok initially sucked me out at 24...but I now understand the science...so need to just keep practising....

Any takers...Iam sure preparing with a partner wud be motivating and wud keep each of is engaged without much distraction...

btw I have joined Manhattan review at begumpet (Classes from May)...just because I needed discipline and time out from family affairs...it was nearby, convenient timing, and cheaper compared to Princeton review, C Sqaure learning and Chopras...

No posting or reply in almost last 2 hours....Are we under the influence of Hibernation...is noone keen on replying for the Thread, study partner...

sorry 3 hours....

Is there any curfew here, or ppl are meditating....:-)

pls ignore any grammatical erros, I didnt proof read it...lol...

Hi Prasanna,

Thanks a lot for your suggestion..
I was wondering, what made you take GMAT/MBA. You mentioned that you already have a MBA degree to your name. Are you targeting Asia Pacific ya American colleges?
One of my colleague is from ISB, and he was mentioning that you have hard sell yourself for your second MBA. Anyway, best of Luck for your prep..
Stay Connected..
Cheers!

Hi,

I am from Hyderabad and have 6 years of IT experience. I am planning to give my GMAT for ISB. It has been 6 years since I took my CAT (could only score 92). So I am having real trouble in sitting down and preparing and am horribly out of touch. Been trying for 2 months but it is always start-stop without any momentum at all. The work schedules and pressure certainly are not doing me any favours 😞 .. So, I was thinking of taking a course for the sole reason of getting back in touch and to inject some discipline into me. Can you please suggest as to which one might be the best course/institute for doing this. The reviews on the internet (for example Princeton are mixed).

Thanks a lot for the help,
Vinay

P.S. I am planning to give my test in September this year..

Hi Abhishek,
Thanks for your comments...I know its goung to be difficult when its for a 2nd MBA...but more so wud be for candidates who have earlier done from a College worthwhile...I had done my MBA from a OU affiliated College, and honestly speaking it has added no value to me other than inputting theoritical knowledge...I am intending to world class MBA, preferably 1 year course, so it may have IIMs PGPX, ISB, and many other from europe...US colleges are gud for traditional 2 year MBA courses....Iam sure I can differentiate between my OU college MBA and an MBA from ISB, and if the difference was so minimal, or doesnt exist, I am sure I wudnt be wasting time and money here (I mean Opportunity cost)....

Hi Vinay....
Iam sailing in same boat...also intending for an Exam in September....have joined Manhattan at begumpet, but classes wud start only in May...meanwhile, if you also have the bug disturbing u on the start and stop model, I guess we shud motivate eachother...may be v can meet up somewhere...discuss and see what we can do/exchange to keep it moving...
If keen do pm me....

hi prassana and vinay ..
