Hello Everyone,
I need some advice from you all.
I am currently working as a software engineer and planning to give my GMAT next year. I am planning for ISB for the year 2008-2009.
given that i am having ample amount of time to study/prepare for Gmat exam, here are my queries:
1. When is the right time to give GMAT (assuming i have enough time to retake the exam if required) is it June/July 2007 ?
2. I am going to start preparing for GMAT and after reading all the previous
posts, i gather this would be a good plan:a. Finish Kaplan 800
b. Finish Kaplan 200X premium
c. Attempt Prep 1 or any other GMAT sample Test.
d. Analyse the scores that i have got in the above test and
find the strong points and the weak points
e. Finish OG 11'edition and other OG books on Verbal and Math,
with emphasis on the weaker points that i have analyzed.
f. Give the rest of the Sample Prep Exams and refine.
3. With respect to actual Study plan:a. Finish with Quants : DS and PS. Thus, i will be able to concentrate on Verbal and AWA while keeping abreast with Quants by solving 10 questions every day.
b. Finish with Verbal: Continue with refreshing the study material and solve the SC1000, RC1000 and CR1000.
c. Study for AWA.
This would give me enough time to Prepare for Essays and to fine tune it.
Please let me on your advice or your comments and any recomendations if any.
Please bear in mind that i am planning for MBA@2008-2009. Thus, i will start applying somewhere around November 2007, and i have 1 year to prepare for GMAT.

4. Kaplan- with and without CD... must take CD though
5. PowerPrep- CD.. is mailed to you when u apply for GMAT

I have heard of a excel sheet that gives the difficulty and topic wise break up of all OG10 questions. Like say question no 1 of SC is simple, concept used is Modifier etc.....
If anyone of u have that excel sheet.. pz post it here .... or tell from where to download that....
