Got a blog? Share it here

Hey guys I wanted to ask a couple of questions from the experienced bloggers:

Does anyone here actually earn money from the blogs ? I have heard of AdSense but have no idea how it works. Would love to hear about it. Alternately point me to articles which explain the comparison easily. I get confused otherwise

I am planning to start my own blog and plan to make some money. Sounds nice eh ? Actually I get a lot of questions which I answer through emails/PMs/YM/posts which I think I can effectively bring together in a blog.

Just a thought that I'm toying with.

u can make money... but just enough to pay for a cup of coffee at barista.. even for that ur blog needs to be really popular and u need to convince visitors to click on google ads every day... the way Allwin used to earlier.... .. may be u should ask him....

Not unless you have *significant* click-receptive audience.....Google pays out once u reach $100...But I've seen many ppl getting their account de-activated for click-fraud..And that happens once you cross $95 πŸ˜‰ (yea, yours truly's a/c too was gone before I could encash and escape to Hawaai)....You might want to check out Performancing and Chitika.... :)

Cheers

Good Work

This is my blog

http://hippy-bogus.blogspot.com/
The plan is create a blog along the lines of say sidin.blogspot.com wherein people actually come to read. But the only difference being that I am not as gifted as him so might want to stick to plain vanilla serious stuff. Get the readers to "think" (which I think I do very well).

From mundane stuff like "Does BPO experience count for an MBA?" to more interesting and imaginative stuff like "How to improve your spoken English in 6 weeks using PsychoD's patented techniques"

What say guys ?

Arun

PS: Patent pending

PPS: I don't need to say this but my involvement with pg won't drop a wee-bit, the blog will just help me channelize my thoughts plus give an outlet to my writing urge.

Gr8 puys wanna something different just visit this thread

My blog is here at gautam ghosh on Management. My google adwords is very measly...but it pays, have got two payouts so far. However it won't cover my browsing bills :-).

The issue with blogs and clicking is that most regular blog readers read ot through a feedreader and may not visit your blog to click on the ads.

Check this out.... and post your feedback.... and yes u can as well leave a comment as anonymous if u so prefer....

Do i read bitterness in this somewhere? I do agree, alot of people have cliches to get there blogs popular. Some time tested techniques are - Do a movie-review & always tear apart the movie bit by bit. The more good the movie is, the more popular ur post will be

I wont call it a blog, but its my own collection. I pick up some funny articles, links, jokes etc and put it here on
