High Level Reasoning for all banking exams

 Eight persons – A, B, C, D, W, X, Y and Z – are sitting around a square table but not necessarily in the same order. Four persons are sitting at the corners and the remaining four persons are sitting along the sides of the table. Three persons are facing the center and the remaining are facing away from the center. The following information is known about them. 

X is second to the right of W and they face the same direction. Only two persons sit between X and B, who sits at one of the corners. B is not adjacent to W but sits to the immediate right of Z, who faces opposite direction in which X faces. Only two persons sit between C and D, who is to the immediate left of Y. The neighbors of Y face different direction in which Y faces .A and the person who is opposite A face each other.

 Seven persons – P, Q, R, S, T, U and V – are living in a seven storeyed building. The ground floor is numbered one, the floor above it is numbered two and so on and the top-most floor is numbered seven. Each of them uses different social media among – whatsapp, facebook, wiber, hike, skype, twitter and instagram. The following information is given about them.

(1) The one who uses skype lives on an odd numbered floor and lives two floors below Q's floor.
(2) S uses twitter and lives on an even numbered floor and lives two floors above the person who uses wiber.
(3) Only two persons live between the one who uses whatsapp and the person who uses hike.
(4) Q is not adjacent to the person who uses twitter and R does not uses whatsapp.
(5) T is adjacent to the person who uses hike and lives on an odd numbered floor.

syllogisms...tricky for formula method...can any1 explain?

  In a sports event, different games are scheduled to be held on seven days, starting on Monday and ending on Sunday. Two games are scheduled to be held on Saturday as well as on Sunday and one game on each of the remaining five days. The games to be held in these seven days are: Basketball, football, boxing, sprinting, swimming, shooting, weightlifting, wrestling and cycling,but not necessarily in the same order. Shooting is scheduled to be held on Thursday. Boxing and cycling are scheduled to be held on the same day. Wrestling is scheduled to be held three days before basketball, i.e. two sports are scheduled between wrestling andbasketball. Wrestling is not scheduled to be held on Wednesday. Weightliftingis scheduled immediately after the day boxing is scheduled. Football is scheduled immediately after the day wrestling is scheduled. Swimming is not scheduled on Monday.

X lives 3 floors above Y... What does that mean? Whether there are 2 floors or 3 floors between them?

in clerk mains i was getting two cases in a puzzle of married couples sitting arrangement. Even in a puzzle of Buildings on either side of a road facing each other i was again getting two cases :((( why this happens with me only 😢 😢

are facing outside. They are belong to eight different cities –

Abhijit faces the Centre and sits third to the right of Rakesh. Rohit

Five boys A, B, C, D and E are working in five different banks-Bank of India (BOI), Punjab national Bank (PNB), Indian overseas Bank (IOB), Bank of Maharashtra (BOM) and Canara Bank. Five girls P, Q, R, S and T are working in five different banks-Bank of Baroda (BOB), Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC), Union Bank of India (UBI), Central Bank of India (CBI) and Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI). These five boys are married to these five girls but not necessary in that order.

S is either working in BOB or IDBI but does not married to one who works in PNB. A does not work in PNB or BOI but married to one who works in IDBI. The one who works in UBI is married to E.

The boy who works in BOI is either married to S or T. E is not married to P, who works either in UBI or CBI. D does not work in IOB or Canara Bank but married to one who works in OBC.

 Raju, Ram, Rita and Reena are four students of different classroom coaching centres of ABC, a leading classroom coaching centre for IAS aspirants. Each belongs to a different state, ie UP, Uttarakhand, Bihar and Odisha, but not necessarily in the same order. Each had a different specialisation, viz Literature, Science, Economics, Marketing, Designing, Information Technology, Choreography and Acting, but not necessarily in the same order.Q is from Chennai. S does not have specialisation in Literature or Science. O is from Lucknow and he has specialisation in Designing. Neither R nor S has specialisation in Marketing or Information Technology. One who is from Chennai has specialisation in Choreography. M and N have specialisation either in Information Technology or in Acting. P does not have specialisation in Marketing and R does not have specialisation in Science. One who is from Mumbai has specialisation in Literature and one who is from Delhi has specialisation in Science. S and T belong either to Pune or to Kolkata. M and S do not belong to Bangalore and Pune respectively. One who belongs to Jaipur has specialisation in Acting. 

Eight terrorists A,

B, C, D, E ,F, G and H are

sitting around a circular table and planning for

attack, but not necessarily in the same order. Four of them are facing inside and the other

four are facing outside. All eight terrorists belong to eight different countries Iraq,

Iran,

Pakistan, Afghanistan, Syria, Bangladesh, Bhutan and China but not necessarily in the

same order. F faces the centre and sits third to the right of C. D belongs to Pakistan and

faces the terrorist, who belongs to Bangladesh. G sits third to the right of B, who stays in

Iraq. The terrorist, who belongs to Afghanistan, is facing the same direction as the terrorist,

who belongs to Syria. E is sitting between the terrorist, who belongs to Pakistan and the

centre of the table in a restaurant. They have ordered for different items (Pizza,

Strawberry, Vanilla, Burger, Pastries and Patties) as their lunch. They are wearing Tshirts

of different colours, i.e. white, black, green, red, yellow and blue. Order of items

for the lunch and colours of T-shirts are not necessarily according to the order of their

names.

I.The persons who have ordered for Pizza, Vanilla and Pastries are neither in white Tshirt

nor in black.

II.The persons who are in green and yellow T-shirts have neither ordered for Pizza nor

for Vanilla.

III.A is neither in white T-shirt nor on the immediate left of the person who has

ordered for Burger.

IV.The only person who is between E and F eats Strawberry. The person who is on the

left side of the person in white T-shirt does not eat Patties.

V.D has ordered Burger and the colour of his T-shirt is green. He is facing the person

who has ordered for Strawberry.

VI.One who has ordered for Pizza is seated opposite to the person wearing blue Tshirt,

while the person whose T-shirt is of green colour is on the left of the person who

has ordered for Pastries.

VII.One who has ordered for Patties is on the immediate right of the person in white

T-shirt but on the immediate left of the person who has ordered for Vanilla.

VIII.C has not ordered for Vanilla while F has not ordered for Pizza.
