Directions for questions 1-5:Ā Read the following information and answer the questions. Among the ten persons G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P five persons are sitting in row 1 and five persons are sitting in row 2, and are facing in either north or south direction but not necessarily in same order. i) There are 4 males, out of which 2 are sitting together in row 2 facing in opposite directions. ii) G sits opposite to the person sitting second to the right of L and faces in the same direction as that of L. iii) O sits 3rd to the right of M and O is neither a male nor sits with a male. iv) All males are sitting opposite to females only and 2 such groups of one male and one female each, sitting opposite to each other face in same direction and the other 2 groups face away from each other. v) P is sitting at 1st position in row 2 and is a male facing in south direction. vi) J sits opposite to the person who sits to the immediate left of K. vii) K is a female sitting 3rd to the right of N, who is facing south in row 2. viii) In the middle seat of both the rows, there sit 2 females facing towards each other.Ā  ix) M is not a male. x) I and O face in the same direction.

Ā Seven persons – P, Q, R, S, T, U, and V – are inĀ theĀ police department working as a DGP (Director General of Police), DCP (DeputyĀ Commissioner of Police), ACP (AssistantĀ Commissioner of Police), SP (Superintendent of Police), DSP (Deputy Superintendent of Police), SI (Sub-inspector of Police), PC (Police Constable) but not necessarily in the same order. Each one of them is from different cities – Goa, Jaipur, Surat, Bhopal, Rajkot, Hubli, and Patna.

Note:Ā TheĀ PositionĀ is in a decreasing order of their experience. DGP is the most experienced person and PC is the least experienced person.

  • The person from Jaipur is senior to P but junior to R.
  • V is from Bhopal and he is not SI.Ā 
  • Q is DCP but is not from either Jaipur or Rajkot.
  • The person from Goa is SP but senior to U.Ā 
  • T is senior to U but not the senior most.
  • Either P or S is from Goa.Ā 
  • The person from Patna is junior to P but not the junior most.
  • DSP is senior to the person from Surat.
  • S is neither SI nor senior to V.

Ā Ten persons are sitting in twelve seats in two parallel rows containing five people each, in such a way that there is an equal distance between adjacentĀ seats. In row-I – P, Q, R, S, and T – are seated and all of them are facing south and in row-II – G, H, I, J, and K – are seated and all of them are facing north. One seat is vacant in each row. Therefore, in the given seating arrangement each member seated in row faces another member of the other row.Ā Each one of them likes a different sport among – Wrestling, Tennis, Volleyball, Boxing, Triathlon, Shooting, Hockey, Golf, Judo, and Archery but not necessarily in the same order.Ā 

  • J is the third person from G and likes boxing.
  • The one who likes triathlon does not sit at any of the ends. I does not like Judo.
  • Vacant seats are neither opposite each other nor at any of the ends.
  • R sits to the immediate left of the person who likesĀ tennis.
  • The one who likes archeryĀ is in theĀ thirdĀ seatĀ to the left of K who sits at the end.
  • Q sits opposite the person who sits second to the right of I.
  • J sits neither at the ends nor adjacent to the one who likes archery.
