There are eight persons namely- P, Q, R, S, T, U, V and W sitting around a circular table facing the centre, but not necessarily in the same order. Each person belongs to different states i.e. Andhra, Bengal, Bihar, Sikkim, Punjab, Rajasthan, Kerala and Karnataka and also likes different colours viz. - Red, Blue, Yellow, Orange, Purple, Violet, Pink and Black, but not necessarily in the same order. The person who belongs to Kerala sits second to the right of S, who belongs to neither Rajasthan nor Punjab. U sits second to the right of the one, who belongs to Rajasthan. The one who likes Purple sits second to the left of the one, who belongs to Bengal. Two people sit between the one, who belong to Punjab and Q. V and the one, who belongs to Sikkim are immediate neighbours of each other. Persons who like Orange and Violet are adjacent to the one who belongs to Sikkim. The person who likes Orange sits immediate left of the one who belongs to Bengal. Q does not like Pink and Black. The one who likes Black sits second to the right of the one who likes Pink. R and T are immediate neighbours of each other. Neither R nor T is an immediate neighbour of either Q or the one who belongs to Rajasthan. Q does not belong to Sikkim. Solve it

solve and please explain this puzzle:

7 employees H, I, J, K, L, M, & N working in different companies reach their office everyday by train, which stops at 5 stations A, B, C, D & E respectively after leaving station Z. → 3 of them board the train at ‘Z’. → ‘K’ De-board at station next to the station at which ‘M’ de-boards. → ‘I’ does not de-board either with H (or) with L → ‘N’ alone board at station ‘C’ and de-boards with ‘J’ after passing one station. → None of them board at station ‘B’, none of them boards at station ‘A’. → ‘J’ boards with ‘M’ but does not board with either ‘I’ (or) with ‘K’. → ‘L’ boards with 2 others and de-boards alone after K. I and K deboard together at station C. ‘H’ travel between 2 consecutive stations and de-board at station ‘E’. → ‘M’ does not board after ‘L’.

A,  B,  C,  D,  E,  F  and  G  are  seven  members  of  a  family.  Three  of  them  are  women.  There  are  two married  couples  in  the  family.  They  are  living  in  a  multistoried  building  with  eight  floors. (Ground  floor  on  which  three  person  lives  is  the  bottom  most  floor  while  seventh  floor  is  the topmost  floor).  Each  of  them  brought  a  different animal  of  their  liking  viz.  -  pigeon,  monkey, sparrow,  collared  dove,  mouse,  squirrel  and  dove  but  not  necessarily  in  the  same  order.  Also they  have  kept  these  animals  on  different floors  of  the  building  (1  on  each  floor  except  ground). B  likes  monkey  and  married  to  F  who  brought  a  squirrel.  G  has  kept  the  animal  he  brought  on the  same  floor  on  which  he  lives.  A  is  brother  of  G  who  likes  pigeon.  The  persons  who  are  living on  the  ground  floor  like  neither  squirrel  nor  pigeon,  but  the  animals  they  brought  are  living  on adjacent  floors.  The  only  person  living  between  D  and  F  likes  pigeon.  No  one  is  living  between  G and  E.  F  is  not  living  on  a  prime  numbered  floor.  Neither  Mouse  nor  Sparrow  is  kept  at  the  top floor  and  there  are  three  animals  between  monkey  and  mouse.  Mouse  is  not  kept  on  the  floors on  which  no  one  lives.  Collared  dove  is  not  kept  on  the  floor  immediately  above  Monkey’s  floor. C  brought  sparrow  and  she  is  an  unmarried  sister  of  the  one  whose  favourite  animal  is  kept  on sixth  floor.  D  likes  collared  dove  and  is  a  sister  of  G.  E  does  not  like  a  mouse.  The  animal  kept immediately  above  squirrel  was  brought  by  one  of  the  persons  living  on  the  ground  floor.  Dove is  not  kept  immediately  above  squirrel.  No  one  is  kept  at  the  ground  floor.  The  one  who  lives  at the  top  floor  likes  sparrow  and  the  person  living  immediately  below  him  has  brought  a  monkey. The  relationship  between  D  and  E  is  the  same  as  that  between  her  parents  who  are  also  living with  them  in  the  multistoried  building.

Q.On which  of  the  following  floors  does  A  lives?

A.  Second

B.  First

C.  Third

D.  Fourth

E.  None  of  these

Eight members A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H sitting in a row facing north But not necessary in the same order. No two successive members are sitting together according to alphabetical order.

For Example: A does not sit with B. similarly B does not sit with C and so on.

They also have a hobby like Playing game, Watching TV, Singing, Dancing, Online surfing, Chatting, Acting and Cooking, but not necessary in the same order. Either A or H sits at the extreme end of the row. A is sitting third to the left of the person whose hobby is online surfing. B sits second to the right of the person who likes acting. C sits second to the right of F. G who likes watching TV is sitting second from the right end of the row. The person whose hobby is dancing is immediate neighbor of F who likes Playing Games. The person whose hobby is acting is not sitting adjacent to the person whose hobby is online surfing. C’s hobby is neither acting nor online surfing. D and E do not sit any extreme end of the row. One of the immediate neighbors of H likes Cooking and the one whose hobby is singing sits left end of the row. Neither H nor D likes Acting.

There are six cars – A, B, C, D, E, F – parked in a row facing north direction, but not necessarily in the same order. The distances between two adjacent cars are successive multiples of three (i.e., if the distance between the 1st and the 2nd car is 3 m, 1st and the 3rd cars is 6 m and between 1st and 4th cars is 9 m and so on.)

Information regarding all the cars:

 The distance between ‘A’ and ‘B’ is 33 m and car ‘A’ is to the immediate left of car ‘B’.

 The distance between the cars ‘E’ and ‘F’ is 99 m. the distance between ‘E’ and ‘D’ is a multiple of ‘2’.

 The car ‘B’ is 75 m away from car ‘C’. Car ‘D’ is in one position to the left of car ‘C’; but not to the immediate left of ‘C’.

 Car ‘F’ starts moving towards north and after going 18 m, it turns right, then it moves 63 m and then it goes another 7 m to its right turn and stops at point ‘Z’

 Car ‘C’ moves 33 m towards south direction, and then takes a right turn and goes 75 m straight. Then it turns again to its right direction and moves another 17 m and halts at point ‘X’.

 An another car ‘M’ is parked at 13 m to the west of point ‘Z’, Now ‘M’ starts moving towards further west and covers 77 m and reached point ‘Y’.

Ten lecturers P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X and Y teach in the same college. They give lectures in five months (April, May, June, September and December). They give lectures in each month on 7th and 21st date. Only two lectures held in a month. The lectures are attended by different number of students. The total strength of students is 100 in each class and 50% attendance is compulsory for each class. The number of students will be even in the month of 30 days and odd in the month of 31 days. Different number of students attends class on different days. No lecturer can give the lecture after W. U gives lecturer in the month which has 30 days. T and Q give lecturers after U on the 7th of different months respectively. Number of students who attend class on 7th September is a whole square (two digit number). R does not give the lecture in the month in which either Y or Q gives lecture. The sum of number of students who attend class on the 7th of two month is 152.Only three lecturers give lecture between U and the lecturer whose class is attended by 68 students. The difference of number of students who attend class on 7th September and the sum of number of

students who attend class on May, is 58. Q gives lecture in the month which has 30 days. The average of number of students who attend class on 21st April and 21st June is 76.P gives lecture in the month which has 31 days. T gives lecture in one of the day before Q. Total 55 students attend V’s lecture. V does not give lecture in the month in which W gives. There are four persons who give lecturers between V and S. Y gives lecture in the month which is after the month in which V gives lecture. The total number of students who attend class in five months is 714.The sum of number of students who attend class on 7th may and 7th June is 147. Students who attend class on 7th June is less than 90. The difference of the number of students who attend class of lecturer Y and R is 4.X gives lecture after P and the number of students who attend his lecture is greater than 70 and less than 80 and is not divisible by 4.The number of students who attend class on 7th December is multiple of 11.
