One good thing in Clerk exam was, it won't be same like SBI Clerk. In SBI Clerk the very first batch people were trapped with the new pattern, the subsequent batches became aware of the new pattern (they observed the shockwaves from first batch and they mentally prepared themselves to face the exam). Most of the successful candidates came from the subsequent batches compared with the first batch.
To avoid such thing as happened with SBI clerk, IBPS decided to filter most of the candidates in prelims itself with higher unexpected cut off (another reason could be direct posting without interviewing a candidate). This led to IBPS to perform the main exam in a single batch all over India (If you were shocked after seeing the questions, then the shockwave was common for whole India and for whole Tamilnadu). So this time cut off would substantially go down as everyone had experienced the same shockwave.
For any exam mental preparation is much imperative whatever the pattern could be. People who prepare for a longer period could endure the shock and they could easily gain their mental stability. Above all, you know about your performance and any miracle can happen this time. So don't loose hope and faith. Good thing will reach you on time.
