Hey..I was a banking aspirant too and now I'm part of the proud SBI family, I'm a 2015 passout and SBI was my first exam and I cleared it without any coaching. If any of you need any help ping me anytime I'l be available to help.
P.S : I'm not showing off just thought genuine guidance will help the self-prep guys and others too, was in the same preparation mode 3 months ago.
Hi..I was going through the marks obtained by the last candidate who was selected last year. For Unreserved category it was 62. As far as I could understand the normalization process, the marks obtained in mains would be converted out of 50..so roughly .25 of the marks obtained in mains and the marks obtained in interview would be again converted out of 50. Thus getting the final score out of 100..Even though there would be adjustment for different slot the final score will be out of 100. This brings me to the question..what is the ideal number of attempts in mains to have a good chance of selection. Doing some rough estimation..say suppose a candidate is awarded 60 marks in interview (which would then become 30) he/she would have to score 128 marks in mains(32*4) and this seems difficult to me because all I am getting is 95-99. Can some one please explain if there is a flaw in my understanding or this is actually the correct scenario. Please help...
