IBPS CWE PO/MT V (2015-16)

Puyz can you please tell me how many questions were there in pie chart question..in circular arrangement and parallel sitting arrangement in 1st slotslot

One of the most important question that may be asked in the Interview.

Why are loans on a bank's balance sheet listed as assets instead of liabilities?

Answer:-

For a simple answer, assets are things that generate income and liabilities cost money. For banks, the interest they charge on loans is their income, making loans assets.

Vacancy in IBPS PO 2015 will...

Second Question:-

How Banks Earn Their Money or Make Profits?

Answer:-

There are three main ways banks make money: by charging interest on money that they lend, by charging fees for services they provide and by trading financial instruments in the financial markets.

Another way banks make money is through charging fees. Most retail and commercial banks will charge for specific services, for example, for processing cheques, for other transactions and for unauthorised borrowing e.g. if a client exceeds an overdraft limit.

This question was asked  in my last PO Interview.

What is Non-Interest Incomes for Banks?

Ans:-

Banks provide a number of other services in addition to lending and depositing money. For example, they provide credit and debit cards to their customers. Banks also charge fees for deposit services, processing loans, card services, and other services.

Banks also perform capital market oriented activities such as underwriting, mergers and acquisitions, advisory, marketmaking, research, and a host of other services. For all the services offered, banks charge certain fees. Income earned through fees and other charges is called non-interest income.

(Getting employed in a PSB...) KOLKATA: Getting employed in a public sector bank will become more rigourous from this year, with the nodal selection body introducing a third layer to the hiring process to eliminate not-so-serious candidates and prevent impersonation. "We are trying to get the right people for the right job," said AS Bhattacharya, director and member-secretary of the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) in Mumbai. "We also intend to arrest impersonation through a three-tier examination process." In addition to the existing common written test and interview, the IBPS will introduce a preliminary exam aimed at eliminating non-serious candidates. Scores from the preliminary exam will not be carried forward. Over 55,000 banking job aspirants are likely to go through the threephrase selection process this year. IBPS received about 14 lakh applications last year for 16,000 vacancies for probationary officer posts in state-run banks, excluding State Bank of India. The addi ion of a new layer means fewer candidates will appear in the main exam and the scrutiny of credentials and photographs will be easier, Bhattacharya said. According to the IBPS, about 40-50 cases of impersonation are detected every year. It plans to improve the scrutiny process to outsmart the fraudsters. Senior bankers said there could have been a few candidates who managed to dodge the inspection process every year and get bank jobs. SBI, the country's largest lender, will be the first to hold the preliminary exam. It plans to hire 2,000 probationary officers next year and the process will begin next week, a senior bank official said.SBI has mandated IBPS to conduct the exams. The selection body also handles the entire hiring process for other state-run banks -from Allaha bad Bank to Vijaya Bank. The hiring of officers for 2016-17 will be done in October, Bhattacharya said. The exam for clerical positions will be held in December. Banks excluding SBI are estimated to hire 20,000 officers and 30,000 clerks next year. For this financial year, IBPS has cleared the recruitment of 16,344 officers, 3,784 specialist officers and 30,683 clerks in state-run banks. Banks other than SBI hired about 1.5 lakh people in the past three years. About 1.22 crore candidates registered with the IBPS over the past three years and 86 lakh turned up to take the common test. During this period, over 99.5 lakh candidates signed up for SBI jobs and 66 lakh of them appeared for the exam.

agar reas or maths galti se bi pass ho gye to mera total score 70-75 aas paas bnega ......evening shift mein tha paper or cat gen ....itne kum score mein naukri milne ke chnce hai jan kisi or paper ki tyari mein lag jao

i think in ibps most students will get less marks in gs

because same happened in rrb where most students got less marks instead of attempting good no. of question correctly

may be it is an ibps formula to award less normalised marks where most students are getting more marks and award more normalised marks with similar no. of attempt in maths and reasoning section where few students are getting more marks
