Maggi is banned because it contains lead while gutkha, chaini khaini , panmasala etc contain sanjeevni booti which increase the life expectancy upto 10 years hence no ban. Makes sense.         

P.S - maggi is injurious to health likh kar hi bech dete instead of banning it..
