#Grammar

Ago and before

Incorrect: His father died three years before.

Correct: His father died three years ago.

Ago is used to count back from the present. It is used with a past tense and a time expression.

Before is used when you date back from any point of time which is made specific.

 I saw him two years before I went to England.

#grammar

All and every

 Incorrect: Every children need love.

 Correct: Every child needs love.

 Incorrect: All the light was out.

 Correct: All the lights were out.

Every is used with a singular noun. All is used with a plural noun

#successive_discount_formula

Many of u must b aware of this formula, but the ppl who don't know it must b useful for them.

a+b+(ab/100)

this is used for successive discounts types of sums.

like 1999 population increases by 10% and then in 2000 by 5% so the population in 2000 now is 10+5+(50/100)=+15.5% more that was in 1999 and if there is a decrease then it will be preceded by a -ve sign and likewise.

#geometry

For any regular polygon , the sum of the exterior angles is equal to 360 degrees hence measure of any external angle is equal to 360/n. ( where n is the number of sides)

For any regular polygon , the sum of interior angles =(n-2)180 degrees

So measure of one angle in

Square =90

Pentagon =108

Hexagon =120

Heptagon =128.5

Octagon =135

Nonagon =140

Decagon = 144

no pot is  container

CONCLUSIONS:

no metal  is pot

Hi Puys, anybody having 'server error' with Mahendra's Mock?

The length and breadth of a room are in the ratio of 2:1. If the cost of cementing the floor at 75 paisa per sq meter is 864 and the cost of polishing the walls at rs 3.25 is 884, then the height of the room is

1) 1 8/9 m         2) 6m            3) 1 2/9m                4) 2 8/9m

Oliveboard free prelim mock:

Va 26.50 99.9

Qa 7.50 78.xx%ile

Lr 12.25 51.50 %ile

Oa 46.50 91.50 %ile

Learnt my lesson. Josh josh mein der raat ko mock nahi dena chahiye 😛

But my question is whether such a score in LR is sufficient to clear the cutoff?
