1. No need to fill forms of Rs. 400 19 times.. cost effective.
Nobody apply 19 times for 19 banks… if a person applied for 19 times that means he failed 18 times..
He can't even get a job with those 18 opportunities how it possible for him to get job through IBPS.With single exam.

I agree, each time 400/- is burden. But with these 400/- he has only one chance per year..

Rural student:

it is not so easy for a rural student to get job in single attempt

Reason: he can't face interview effectively, because, if it is separate for each bank the difficulty level is different from when the interview is conducted by group banks through IBPS.

If banks conduct their exams on their own then candidate has to pay 400/- and if qualified in written test, he'll go for interview and the competition level here is very less when compare with IBPS. And call for the interviews also follow some ratio like 1:4 or 1:3 the probability to get job is high.

If he failed, he can understand his level of capability in facing an interview or written test and again go for other bank exam with some more experience and again he has to pay 400/- and on paying he can think about this 400/- and take it seriously.
Students or candidates always want more opportunities. (Especially rural students).

2. No need to commute 19 times to examination centre..

Everybody always ready to go even 190 times… Because he needs a job, not specifically a bank job.

4. the same guy can be selected 19 times in banks thereby wasting 18 seats.. here a single merit list and so one can get only one post.

He just shortlisted for those 19 banks it doesn't mean he got job in 19 banks. If he got job in one bank and if he doesn't wish to work in that he'll go for other bank. Nothing wrong in this..

Finally,

Merit student:
go for written test-qualified-go for interview-selected-get a job.( what the problem for him if there are 19 exams per year, I think no problem. He hasn't any effect from this because he can get job within 1 or 2 opportunities. He'll write one bank exam as on his wish and get job in that bank then he left remaining 18 bank exams in that same year and these all are for who needs a job)

Non merit student: go for w.t-if qualified-interview-if qualified-job.(he needs more opportunities to improve skills, understanding, especially interview… that's what a non-merit student is.)

So many brilliant and talented students are still facing problems in interviews and failed so many times in interviews…it is not so easy for them…

One exam and one interview per year reduce the quantity of getting a chance to select.

If you want to do job in Andhra Bank.Go and write Andhra Bank's exam and get job in that bank and don't think about the remaining bank exams in that same year… if you failed how you can succeed in IBPS per year. As per IBPS you don't have other opportunity in that same year to write again.
But if I failed in Andhra Bank's exam I'll go for another bank exam in that same year.

don't think I'm getting bore to you... answer me...

@dilluu
thanks dilluu see my reply and give your opinion..

AND YA BHAIYO I AM GOIN FROM DELHI TO PARTAPUR SO GUYS IN DELHI HAVING SAME CENTRE AND HAVING PROBLEM IN GOING CAN ACCMPNY

Hi... 1 Question.

Total time is 2 hours right?
No separate time constraints per section rite???

Also,

Is it a good strategy to attend all the Questions in sections like PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE ??

Only .25 marks deducted for wrong answer right?
If it is correct (by chance) we'll get one mark.

Will the above strategy have any impact when the scores are normalized ?????

Please comment.

Thanks all

total time - 2 hours is right.. 2 hours are at your disposal, use them at your will.. so no restrictions in that.. :)
now talking about pk, 1 ques=1.5 marks, so incorrect ques will get you -0.375.. and you need to get 1 in every 5 guesses you make to even the score.. so if you think you can make more than one correct guess out of 5 chances you take.. go ahead by all means.. 😃 all the best.. only the net marks you score will matter in normalized score..

first, keeping genuine concerns and fruitful discussion on the concerning issues isn't boring.. I am glad you have kept your genuine points and i agree to more than a few of them..
Look friend, i understand that no guy would fill up 20 forms in 1 year.. but he or she wil fill as an average of 4-5 atleast.. now lets imagine there are 3 banks, X,Y,Z.. X is better than Y, and Y is better than Z.. each has 10 vacancies..the order in which they release the form is X,Y,Z too.. student A is brightest of the lot.. as he is bright, he will realize that he shouldnt take risk for Z bank forms to come and fills X and Y forms too.. Gets selected, leaves the seat.. moves to Z.. these seats will now be filled only in next year.. so seats wasted.. this has happened last year in ibps when 3 or 4 guys were common in first two banks' final list..
I agree with your point of getting only a single chance. and even I think that Like clerks and PO, SO exams should be atleast twice a year too..
as far as practice is concerned buddy, there is always tough competition wherever you go.. so its crucial to hon your skills by practice..

and we cant do anything about it, IBPS was created for the benefit of banks as they are saving recruitment costs.. and we can just follow the rules laid down by them..So as much as I would like to continue our discussion, its wiser to focus on the preparation as its the only thing we have in our hands. All the Best..:)
@sivanaresh I know it feels bad when others having comparitively lesserhave more exposure and resources at their disposal while many meritorious aspirants falter at the personal interview round. But that is the reality friend, you have to show your mettle in both the rounds to get a job or any seat in a coveted institution..
