Observed following differences between PO 2013 and SO 2013 notification on vacancies:
1. In SO notification, its explicitly mentioned that "vacancies are as on 14.06.2013" unlike POs.
2. It is also mentioned that "Preferences have to be indicated for all the Participating Organisations irrespective of whether vacancies exist or not". Why would they want preferences for those banks which won't have any vacancies.. It could be such that they havn't shared the vacancies with IBPS as yet.
3. There's a gap of 10 days (POs had a week or so) between result and preferences to start.
We might expect an update between these days.
4. 12 banks without any vacancies for IT officers "sounds" impractical. These include 5 major banks. Same is for other fields like technical officers where only 2 banks have mentioned vacancies.
