I have appeared for CWE and got a score of 156. DO I have any hope to get a call.
One more thing, some one told me that for the previous kind of examination , there is a website which has the cut off of all exams. Can any one provide the link.

Guys , I need some opinions . I am an MBA in Finance . Previously I have done ME( Master of Engineering) in Mechanical Engineering . I am currently unemployed and looking for job . I have decided to give coming IBPS PO exam .
I am sure of doing good in written exam . But very worried about the interview .
Would I be asked why I didnt get job in pvt sector after such qualifications ? Or , Would I be told that I am overqualified for the Job ?? I am really worried about my career and not understanding what to do . I am seeing towards IBPS as my last resort .

Bro, first of all you need to calm down. Look if you pass the IBPS exam and if you are called for the interview this means that you have passed the rejection test(please do have this in mind that written is rejection test but not interview). If any bank calls you for interview then it means they want to take you, since you are an MBA, you must be familiar of the fact that interviews are conducted to know about you and your qualities, your chance of selection depends on how you sell yourself in the interview. If they ever ask you the above mentioned questions doesn't mean they don't want to take you but that means they want to know if you are really interested in the job, and confident about your abilities and generally people having so much qualification, don't stay in a job for long time. So, my advice for you would be that please be calm and think what you want to do in life and plan accordingly. I you are game for IBPS exam then study for it and crack it with huge score, and then do a rigorous personality check, make an exhaustive list of questions which are asked in the interview and make suitable answers and practice accordingly. You'll prevail and emerge victorious. Please keep in mind that hard work always pays.
hello friends.. i have cleared IBPS BANK PO exam 2011. i have got 143 marks.. i'm a hearing impaired 76%. i dnt have any benifits from a hearing aid so i have a difficulty in communication..i had applied for IBPS as hearing impaired. and was shortlisted for bank of india interview .. i had given my interview yesterday.. when i told them (at office ) i have problem in communication and can i have a written interview(questions only) they said there is no such provision.. but again i asked interview panel about written interview , they agreed. but they did'nt ask me any questions related to banking.only general questins about my family education and disability. it lasted for only 10 min. i had prepared for this interview very hard and they ask nothing. i felt like they were not intrested in me and were conducting interview just for formalities. my marks are very good for hearing impaired category. infact i have total weighted score for the job (written exam + interview = 142)in the written exam itself, but i need minimum marks for interview too..
i think they did'nt like me asking for written interview. another thing i noticed there was all of the guys who came as HI had no problem in communication using hearing aids.. if so how can they apply as HI??? guys wearing glasses are not visual impaireds no..
some guys in bankpo.in forum told me i ruined my chances by asking for written interview. is that so?? how could i understand questions if i had'nt asked fora written interview.. i can liread but its not 100% effective.. there are only 1% post reserved for HI category.and they say there are only certain posts where HI could work.. so they know about communication problems of HI.. then why can't they allow a written interview??? my next interview is for canara bank in april 2nd week. they have group discursion tooo.. i wonder how am i going to face it.... my question is wont they hire me because i can't communicate efficently???? somene pls help me.. i'm feeling very low... i have studied for 3 months to qualify for exam and another 1 month for interview..
hope some1 will answer me
thank you
You are just getting worried because you dont know the result. I will say that it was an intelligent decision to ask for a written interview. Everyone who tells against should first understand that you wouldn't be comfortable in an oral interview and would degrade your chances for getting a selection. Just be yourself for your interview and tell them that you would like them to make you sit in a written interview. After all the guys sitting opposite to you are humans and they will surely understand. If possible, get a doctor's letter recommending the same for your next interviews.
Never lose hope in life. Always say Cheers to life...

Think that the last date for downloading is over. But don't worry, try calling the IBPS helpline number. Hope they might also activate the link before the exam. Every problem has a solution...

pl feel free to list yourselves, as for me i would do later when i convert the interviews due. So we need some already selected people ready to join to volunteer themselves for first few places, the rest would follow the suit.
Hi & Congrats Well, we will have to wait till BANKS declare vacancies, and see what criteria they put up and what score do they ask for, till then lets hope for the best Best of Luck and ATB :cheerio::cheerio:

Well, just cover the basics of maths upto 10th level from any good book, I took the help of R S Agrawal and also cover some higher level maths like prob and also prepare Reasoning and DI in a similar fashion, the main thing is that you must keep practicing since IBPS unlike exams like CAT and all focus heavily on speedy calculations and not just on concepts, for english, it is very basic in nature and if you have already done your studies in English and are comfortable in reading and following newspapers daily then there should be no problem at all and that would cover your GK as well
For basic banking, follow any basic banking book like Banking and Finance By N.K Sinha (BSC Publication) and for Marketing just google the basic concepts, that would be more than enough.
But most importantly, solve a lot of previous year questions and give a lot of mocks and prepare a strategy based on your strenghths for question solving like which to cover first, how much time to devote, etc.
How you should write the exam: deduct 15 mins from the total duration i.e, 120-15=105
And divide 105 in 6 sections equally. Answer each sec. for that duration only. Now use the rest of the 15 mins in your strongest section to increase the overall score.
And for preparation: QA, DI: Go for Quantitative Aptitude by R.S. Aggarwwal Thats more than enough. For english, logical reasoning etc.... take any book. U can use the Analytical reasoning by Rs agarwal.. and for GK... keep a regular track of Pratiypgita Darpan
@swayambhar thanx for guidance .. hey i hav got 54% in grad but i have one doubt if i clear ibps exam wil i be geting a cal or not becoz every bank ask for 55% 0r 60%..
My name is Harsh Choudhary...I'm pursuing my B.E from indore...with Comp.Sc. stream...right now i'm in the third yr. of my engineering...but, i have no interest in my field, and now i think i should prepare for P.O. exams.I appeared last time in IBPS clerical exam, and scored 140 marks.I think i can do much better in banking rather than in engineering. so please suggest me,am i thinking the right way or not?
