dear frnds....in unresrvd seats , all things are done on d basis of merit first...either he is from reserv or unreserv...n for reserve seats,.. its made to b safe for reserv cat so dat they cn get that reserv seats atleast...(if they get less marks than gen, means if no of gen is more than reservd ppl)..saf baat...unreserv seats k merit me sabko consider karte h bt iske alawa b reserv k kuch seat safe hote h for them

PIL pada tha court me regarding this ki Reserved quota me seat khali reh jati hai as some of them are consumed in UR ones... Uske baad Supreme court ne guideline diya tha... Plz look at the following from one of govt insititute's circular:

Interchangeability and transfer of seats:

Scheduled Tribes, the seats shall be regarded as €˜interchangeable €™. That is to say,
if a sufficient number of eligible candidates are not available to fill up the seats
reserved for Scheduled Tribes, seats may be filled up from among the eligible
candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and vice versa.
(b) The vacant seats in the reserved categories as remain unfilled shall be
transferred to open categories during third counselling after offering admission
to eligible candidates of reserved categories. Any additional seat(s), if created
for the reserved categories shall stand cancelled in such a case.

kyuki kolkata me SBT me hi sirf 7 vacancy thi of no use...so mene sbm bhara nd thodi boht ati hai kannada..so hona hoga toh ho hi jayega hope kyu chodne ka..
