Allotment of seats across various categories depends upon which seat a candidate opts for. First make it clear that GENERAL is not a specified category...It is UNRESERVED...i.e. anyone can pick the UR seat if he/she fulfills the UR criteria w.r.t age, merit & qualification.
Lets say 80 seats are available in UR & 20 in reserved(OBC, SC/ST)
Now assume that according to the merit list 70 (UR) & 10(Reserved) candidates featured in top 80 then seats are filled in their respective category. Hence we are left with 10(UR) & 10(Reserved) seats.
Further assume two scenarios:
1) In next 20 candidates as per merit list, 12 are reserved & 8 are UR
In this case the remaining 2 seats of UR "WILL" be filled by reserved category students provided they satisfy the UR criteria
2) In next 20 candidates as per merit list, 8 are reserved & 12 are UR
In this case the remaining 2 seats of RESERVED "WILL NOT" be filled by UR students . Hence these 2 students will be obtained from further merit list based on the respective category.

mera toh 138 h .. Main toh IBPS -2013 ke liye prepare kar rha hun abhi se .. Nxt year main b senior ho jaunga aap logon ke jaise ..

@gaurav.. bhai main 100 baat ki ek baat bolta hun..dekh lena is saal ke bech me ata ate..waiitng lists me low scorers ka bhi naam ayega..i will be in touch ...i haven't lost hope..and nothing is a fact until it happens ..so lets wait for that to happen so that it can be called as fact which is uncertain..till then atleast i think we are in....
sorry to ask the very common question but i dnt have many friends who have cleared IBPS PO so dnt knw abt my chance. m having 167 marks with avg interview. so can u ppl plz tell me where I stand? will I get Union bank or Dena Bank??
Is there any Ranking available for nationalised banks? Raking the banks from Top that is, rank 1 to 20.. this case- 21?
