but i guess for Gen candidates overall rank would be applicable...

There are no drawbacks as such neha. Since each one is a PSU bank after all. The only difference is some banks have a greater revenue or profit than others, or a greater market share than others or some similar criteria for which they might be stated as Tier 1, Tier 2 and so on. But as far as having a job in any of these banks is concerned, apart from some of these rather intangible factors, there is really not much difference. The rest is up to the individual choices.
