@2013IsMine sorry, wrong selection of word its a computerised allotment based on no of vanacies bankwise, preferencewise and meritlistwise, so a set of permutation and combination will be used by computer to alot the seat in a PSB, i stand corrected its not a lottery for sure

I guess it's not that complex as you are making it out to be here..

1. Merit list will be displayed
2. Vacancies of each bank will be displayed
3. You will fill prefernce of all 19 banks according to your liking(factors like hometown , no bond, tier 1 etcc)
4. Ibps will allot you the banks according to the merit list and your prefernce!

Thats how i feel it would be!

your 1st and 2nd step is simple agreed, can you explain how the 3rd step is simple, there would be atleast 5000 candidates with common score and common preferences, does it by any mean appear a simple allotment?

i have a confusion frns plzzz clarify it-----if their are total 11000 candidates above 156 in out of which 3000 obc candidates then whether they all (3000 candidates ) alloted general seats ???

or they will get some seats for example....500 bob gen seats + 300 bob obc seats & 500 pnb gen seats+300 pnb obc seats & 900 boi gen seat + 500 boi obc seats........total 1900 gen seats and 1100 obc seats................now my question is if their are 1900 gen candidates above 171 & 1100 obc candidates above 171.....then whether obc candidates are allotted general seats ??????

what i stand(overall ranking) 150 obc????

yeah , he is right...

@mandeeps & 3.ranjan --- my question is that if 8000 gen cand.. n 3000 obc cand... total 11000 gen vacancies then whether 3000 obc get seats out of this 11000 gen seats or from their reserved seats ????

3000 obc will occupy GEN category seats if the qualify Gen cut-off

it's how every govt organisation and/or govt institutions follow the procedure to fill up the post in case of tie of marks.

the age factor i'm 100% sure.
you may ask what will happen if there are 100 persons with same marks for 40 seats...then may be(i'm saying MAY BE) they may follow the following procedure

1. the person who is older will get first placed
2. if there are 50 persons with same age date(say 12-08-1985), then person with highest marks in interview will be first placed
3. say if 46 person with same age date and same interview marks are there then person with higher qualification will be placed......

this is how the funneling/sorting/filling the post is done.......

no, OBC candidates ll get seats from their own reserve quota...

150 obc ki ranking kya hogi???/

one more question frnds--- is their be a common cutoff means for e.g. 63 out of 100 according to 80:20 or different cutoffs for each banks lyk 67 for bob n pnb, 66 for boi n ubi..............63 for dena, vijaya, uco n so on....... ?????

u r wrong bhai. they r considered as general candidates as far as they r fulfilling general cat conditions.

if all the candidates(gen+obc) has got above cut-off marks, then first obc will occupy gen seats, then the remaining seats will be filled up by remaining gen candidates..................
but it generally not happens...it happens in rare cases...

b'coz gen cut-off are high...so a very few say 400 to 500 seats will be filled(in your case) by obc in gen cat and the remaining seats will be filled by gen candidates...
@3.ranjan super lyk dear frnd...
