Finally shorlisted my top 5 banks after a visit to Allahabad Bank Branch beside my house...
First thing the manager asked me was "Have you Shortlisted CANARA BANK" ??? the reason he gave was "Its one of the BEST Banks at present" (guys who are thinking of CANARA BANK can take a note on this)
....
....A new Inclusion in my list would be "CORPORATION BANK"....he told that its a very sound
bank ,,with good allowances...
For IDBI,his view was its a fantastic bank..on asking about TARGETS - he sd "which bank does'nt have that"?
On asking about ALLAHABAD ,he said there is shortage of employees in W.B and that candidates from bihar and jharkhand are being posted in W.B (so guys from W.B ,take a note on this if you fear AWAY-POSTINGS)..Also thre is huge vacancies.

It has a private culture,,,i was told that employees wears tie's and all ...salary is best,next to SBI...very less rural branch...good choice if you are in the top 2000...
