reason?
@Ankur1885 taking 100 students into consideration

Steps to prepare a selection list will be as follows-Step (1) First of all a COMBINED MERIT LIST consisting of general, SC, ST and OBC candidates will be prepared on the basis or their marks obtained. Step (2) A list of 50 candidates will be declared from this combine merit list which will consist general, SC, ST and OBC candidates on the basis or their marks obtained (Important)Step (3) From the remaining candidates a list of 27 OBCcandidates will be declared from this combine merit list on the basis or their marks obtained i.e. marks obtained less then the marks of last unreserved candidate (cutoff marks) selected.Step (4) After step (2) from the remaining candidates a list of 23 SC-ST candidates will be declared from this combine merit list on the basis or their marks obtained i.e. marks obtained less then the marks of last unreserved candidate (cutoff marks) selected
whatt is this ?
How is a merit list prepared for obc candidates?
Scenario:
Admission for obc candidate for college admission,
27% seats are filled against obc quota.
Suppose there are 100 students. Merit list is prepared.
open candidate number 55 (percentage above 75)
obc candidate number 45 ( 20 students above 75 percentage
and 25 students are less than 75 percentage )(not considered sc/st reservation )
How do we prepare the merit list of obc candidate?

Steps to prepare a selection list will be as follows-
Step (1) First of all a COMBINED MERIT LIST consisting of general, SC, ST and OBC candidates will be prepared on the basis or their marks
obtained.
Step (2) A list of 50 candidates will be declared from this combine merit list which will consist general, SC, ST and OBC candidates on the basis or their marks obtained (Important)
Step (3) From the remaining candidates a list of 27 OBCcandidates will be declared from this combine merit list on the basis or their marks obtained i.e. marks obtained less then the marks of last unreserved candidate (cutoff marks) selected.
Step (4) After step (2) from the remaining candidates a list of 23 SC-ST candidates will be declared from this combine merit list on the basis or their marks obtained i.e. marks obtained less then the marks of last unreserved candidate (cutoff marks) selected.

Result: Total OBC candidates selected will be------------

Say 07 OBCs selected in Unreserved (General) Seats + 27 OBCs selected in Reserved Seats = 34 OBCs.

@2013IsMine it is a subsection of this .How do we prepare the merit list of obc candidate?2(b). Candidates belonging to OBCs recruited on the basis of merit in an open competition on the same standards prescribed for the general candidates shall not be adjusted against the reservation quota of 27%.In your case if out of 100 seats 50 seats are unreserved (General) and 27 are reserved for OBC and 23 are reserved for SC-STs. Steps to prepare a selection list will be as follows-Step (1) First of all a COMBINED MERIT LIST consisting of general, SC, ST and OBC candidates will be prepared on the basis or their marks obtained. Because only 27% reservation is given to 50% population of OBCs.
Doesnt it look unfair??..of course for Open catgeroy people?

@muthamizh Now 1 question : If from the list made for unreserved candidate(wich involves sc/st/obc too) some sc at position 46(out of 50) says 1st preference as PNB, but PNB has only 10 seats(unreserved) which are occupied already...so will this sc candidate not given PNB from sc quota ? or he will be given his next preference which has seat (say BOI,unreserved)....This is an imp question as it will help the general candidate at ranks behind 50....This definitely needs clarity.

@muthamizh SO IF AN OBC CANDIDATE HAS 400 OVERALL RANKING AND 10 IN OBC RANKING...HOW WILL HE OCCCUPY BANK ...WILL IBPS OFFER HIM ECGC(ON THE BASIS OF CATEGORY RANK) OR BANK OF BARODA(ON GENERAL RANK)...AND WHAT CANDIDATE WILL OPT FOR???
THEN I THINK THERE IS NO USE OF TAKING CASTE CERTIFICATE AS HE IS NOT ALLOWED IN HIS CATEGORY RANK???
IS IT SO???? I DONT THINK...
@niteshkr 😃 same here.. bt i will go for a PO job as being an officer is quiet better den a clerk... I got maharashtra?? wht state do u got ??

@muthamizh said:
@nids1412 he wiil be given the pnb quota under sc category so there will be a lapse in one general seat which could be filled by another general candidate.suppose if a obc candidate with his rank in 100,he will considered under general , opting for pnb but he could not get that.that time he will be put into obc category.then he will get pnb.so that time obc seat will be filled by him and his general will be filled and obc in lapse which will be filled by another obc canddate.so however he will get his pnb allotment.
@muthamizh this line of yours is confusing ".then he will get pnb.so that time obc seat will be filled by him and his general will be filled and obc in lapse which will be filled by another obc canddate.so however he will get his pnb allotment." What i understood is general candidates will be at some gain as quota candidate will defintly try to use quota seats to get best banks. This seems a good news !

i dont know why did the panel did this but i am not qualified for further process. Not selected in interview.156 in written they did not give me even 40 marks to pass.Very sad .Cant come out of the trauma.
