Banks had to take this(pgdbf) route because of high attrition rate. Any Tom Dick or Harry was filling the po form thinking of it as a backup. People need to understand that Banking is one of the important pillars on which a country's economy stands. Its high time that India needs individuals who are highly motivated towards banking. People once they join bank, complain about hectic working conditions, low pay etc. But is it not our own fault that banks are in such a dilapidated state. Since banks dont have motivated officers, they incur losses in terms of NPAs and what not but you think guys if the bank itself cannot generate revenue, how will it take care of its employees? How will banks provide better working conditions to its employees? It is a fact that many bright individuals simply avoid PSBs for same reasons. And even if a bunch of them joins, leaves the bank asap. And this is why banks had to take the extreme step to do away with the unmotivated lot. I personally believe the Banking in India, from here on, will only continue to rise in standards. Why? 1. PGDBF: Yes! The only thing that people are cursing banks for today, will appreciate banks in coming years. The power of knowledge can do great wonders guys. It will only make the officers prepared to take on the challenges banks are facing today. You talk about bond? Those who are really interested in banking just won't care. Infact they are happy that they will get to enhance their banking knowledge free of cost since the money is returned! What more one wants? Now you say emi? I totally agree with you that emi would take a portion of your salary away, but 30k per month in hand is sufficient enough when you get a house to live, fuel to drive etc etc. Believe me i have seen people earning 1 lac per month frustrated/unhappy. I believe in earning experiences rather than money. Working in a bank, one won't have to worry about earning money any more, but the experiences that one would earn daily would be worth much more. Remember guys salary will finish up within 15 days, whether you earn 30k or 1lac, but experiences will remain with you till you are alive. 2. PGDBF again! Yes, now banks will attract only serious candidates who really want to make a career in banking. But then ofcourse there would be some who would leave. But yes, the numbers will be lot less than today. 3. PGDBF againn!! Believe it or not, a PG would definitely increase an officer's worth. It will take no time for the management to realise this fact and salary would soon catch up. Its a fact, knowledge goes hand in hand with salary. Again this shouldn't be the criteria to join banks, but then yes it is going to happen. Its just one thing that i feel the banks should have left out was the 60% graduation criteria. I believe most of the people realise things and get serious later in life. But that shouldn't rob him/her of his/her shot at a better life. And its not unknown that even a guy scoring 50% can do great wonders if he's motivated and found his lakshya (so called). So yah in coming days if banks remove this alone criteria, then it will become a fair play for everyone. Anyways that's all. Some of you may disagree with me, but that's ok, this is what i feel and I'm very excited with the recent developments. ;) #copied @bablebaz - somewhat agree with his views

बेचैनी जब भी बढ़ती है धुंए में उड़ा देता हूँ , और लोग कहते हैं मैं सिगरेट बहुत पीता हूँ… !
