68.5K Teacher's vacancies in UP: I wish Graduates without Training certificates were allowed to take these exams and later pass the Training Exams. It would have improved the teaching standards of the recruiting schools and have brought parity in the competition levels of Teaching and Non-Teaching Exams. It happened in Bihar last time around but they too have aborted that scheme. Barring a few exceptions, Teacher Training Institutes are a fraud. Why shouldn't a Mechanical Engineer be allowed to teach Science to Schoolkids?!
