some tips to those giving first time ibps po/or need some tips, others can ignore. i have cleared ibps po5(alloted vijaya bank ,didnot join) and ibps po 6 (got central bank of india,will get joining soon).
For Prelims: in ibps po 5 i scored 57(cutoff was around 37+), in ibps po 6 i got 49(cutoff was 47+).
Quantitative Aptitude -attempt DI first (both set,leave 1-2 question in each set as it will be tough) 8, Approximations 5 , Quadratic Equations 5, your at least 13-15 marks secured. No need to even touch other things. every second is important.
English: Attempt RC only for scoring 3-4 question, just see question and skip. you will get a feel whether u need to refer back passage. Rest attempt all. English is risky so attempt maximum as much as u can. u cant be sure about answer unlike quant and reasoning. hope u get 15.
Reasoning: Mathematical Inequalities, Direction, Syllogism will give u at least 12-15 marks and one easy puzzle. spot it out. dont attempt sitting arrangement in which blood relation is involved.
Everyone must be having their strong area out of three. score 5-7 marks more in that. Trust me if you keep calm and follow your plan u will get through. because many people lose track of their plan and end up wasting 5-6 min which is very crucial. i think in ibps po 7 cutoff will be 50+ for sure. just give one like if u liked it. :) all the best everyone.
