My Interview Experience :---PRATHMA Gramin Bank for OS1
(21st January)
Four members....Only two of them asked questions from me.One of them didn't utter a word.
Chairman(Ch):-- Your name is XXXXXX.
Me- Yes Sir..
Ch:-- You have xx percentage in 10th, 12th and graduation.
Me:- Yes sir.
Ch-- You have good academic record.Why are you unemployed till now??
Me:-- Sir..I have been preparing for civil services.
Ch-- Did you appear this year.??
Me-Yes sir.
Ch---Who is the governor of RBI??
Me--- (I instantly uttered Raghuram Rajan as if he were my friend, but as soon as I spoke it i realised my mistake and immediately corrected it by saying Dr.Raghuram rajan), but simultaneously chairman also intervened saying Shri raghuram Rajan...but after listening Dr. Raghuram Rajan , he said OK :D)..
Ch--- Who is Lok Sabha speaker...???(Probably he was ascertaining whether I learnt from my previous mistake or not )
Me--- Srimati Sumitra Mahajan :D(Not Sumitra , because she is not my maid :D)

Me:--Frist of all thanks to @sscssc fro raising this question on PG. I posted a reply to this question on forum and thus was remembering all the points and gave them a detailed answer...They were happy 😁
M1: A few questions from my city of residence??I answered them.
M2: What are NPAs??
Me: NPA are those accounts which have defaulted in payment of interest or principal amount or both for at least 90 days.
M2: What are the types of NPAs.
Me:Three types :: Sub standard, doubtful and loss assets.
M2: What are the effect of NPAs on the balance sheet??
Me::: This question i answered but with pure luck. A day before the interview I was browsing through banker's adda where they had explained the balance sheet. i didn't get a word of it. But What I remembered is that balance sheet consists of three heads i.e assets , liabilities and stakeholder's equity and sum total of the last two should be equal to assets. i told them that since loans are the assets of bank and when it is not returned to them then it creates an imbalance between the two sides of balance sheet.(I dont know whether it was the right answer or not???Bu anyways ..thanks to banker's adda....at least I answered something... :D)
M3:You are posted as a Branch head .What will you do to increase the business of the branch??
Me- Sir , I will get a better citizen charter drafted. Most of the citizen charters end up being manager's charter and are of little use to general public.
He prodded me to speak more.. i said Sir, i will put up posters of bank's product at prominent location and describe them in vernaculars(since it is a gramin bank(rural bank)).

Since interview was over ,I got a bit relaxed, probably too much relaxed . I picked 4 chocolates, then suddenly it occured to me that i am still in the interview room. I quitely tried to slip two toffees back in the tray.. Sadly for me chairman noticed and he laughingly said "AAP LE SAKTE HAIN.." 😁
I was feeling embarassed. Invariably in every interview I do something this dumb ....I quickly got up and came out of the room...in fact I ran away from there .. 😁
