Risk will be too exciting...mark my words, once you are experienced in Risk at ICICI(going by what is told about the work culture at ICICI like squeezing employees with work pressure) you will not look back, you will see ultimate demand for yourself in market...
I believe the demand factor will be the same for all three specializations. ICICI is going to assign some of the most elusive profiles to BLP graduates, be it WBG, Risk or Technology; and that's the reason for creating such a structure for 120 odd resources.

I'll be talking about WBG from BLP's perspective. BLP graduates are likely to be assigned a Relationship Manager or an Accounts Manager role. Both these profiles take care of a corporate client from the all the angles of the relationship. By angles, I mean sales, service, limit sanction, limit utilization, cross-selling of other products offered by the Bank and up-selling of existing facilities utilized by the client. Basically our role will be to maximize the "value" of a relationship.
Once you learn all this @ ICICI, you can take forward your career in any direction which requires skills of a relationship manager. Please note that this is not a complete "sales" job. It involves sales, marketing and even operations at times. So, don't narrow down your scope of thinking to only sales.

Do you have any idea of this, also do you confirmation on the payment details if any as the Deposit slip is not opening for many ppl,doe sit have any timelines.

I must tell you one great thing about ICICI Bank, the HR department is absolutely autonomous here. No one in the Bank would know the answers to what's, why's and how's. That's the reason why the recruitment activities turn out to be fair and there's no brownie points for being an ICICI employee.

1. As per inputs from seniors, there's a tentative list with the HR and the university in which they've taken all the candidates with some specialization in mind, based on the background and OPQ. But this tentative list is finalized sometime between the 2nd term and the 3rd term, based on the performance at the university. So, nothing is finalized as of now.
2. Don't think too much about the company name being displayed on your careers website homepage. It's a random thing as per my understanding.
3. Regarding the payment of Rs. 10,000/- to be made as security deposit to secure admission, you need to take a print out of the deposit slip (pm your email id if you are facing any difficulty in opening the file). Go to your nearest ICICI Bank Branch with a nice and big smile on your face, show the slip to the teller at the cash counter and hand over 10k to the person. You'll get a stamped copy for HR and for yourself. Do send the scanned image of the HR copy with your candidate no. in subject line. Don't forget to send the hard copy along with the accepted offer letter and your medical reports. All this should reach the HR by 25th.

They have sent the mail on friday night and no one has picked up the phone yesterday and today. Offer letter says submit the docs by 21st and content in the email boday says submit by 25th august. I dont know how they expect the candidates to sign and send the documents without answering their queries etc regarding program

For batch 1 and 2, participants have been given Corporate Banking, Risk Management and Technology. I'll try to get the break-up from seniors, will surely get back on this soon.
1st batch is still undergoing term 6 at campus. They will start their last leg of internships when we go to campus. They'll be joining as employees only in April 2013.
Regarding the formalities to be done to confirm your participation, you need to ensure 3 things: 1. Deposit 10k at the nearest ICICI Bank branch. Do go with the print out of the deposit slip and your invitation email. 2. Get your medical tests done as per the instructions mentioned on the PDF file attached with the invitation email. 3. Take a print out of the offer letter and sign it on all the pages and specially on the last page.
My suggestion would be to send the scanned images of the stamped deposit slip, medical reports and accepted offer letter by email and follow it up by sending the hard copies by courier. Please try to limit the file size per email to 500 KB as ICICI servers may not accept files exceeding this limit.
If you are in a metro, the courier will reach Mumbai by 2nd day from dispatch. The docs should reach HR by 25th. So, assuming you stay in a metro city, even if you dispatch the docs on 23rd, it would reach by 25th. But as soon as your email reaches them with all the docs scanned, they'll definitely note your acceptance for this programme.
