I too have done my share of research on BLP. I have talked to people who are working with ICICI as M2 and as well as previous employees of ICICI. I got very positive replies. They seemed really happy that I could clear the test. Following points were discussed
1. Work Culture : Almost all were really happy with the culture. I too felt the same when I attended my GD at Mumbai.
2. Specialization : All three are good IT is an integral part and is very much important for the way forward. But IT is kind of support service. Therefore, to reach the 'Top' would be a bit difficult in Banking but if you have plans to join an IT company later, then this is a very good option. WB group will have targets to be met therefore pressure to meet them will be there. Risk is kind of back office job where the decisions made are checked and the risk is analyzed. Money will be there in all the fields. The chances of a remote location posting is less as these specializations are concentrated in major cities only. Growth is also there in all the three but never expect a promotion before 3 years.
3 Work Pressure/ Sales Target : Is there any one company where targets does not matter? It is there in one or the other form. You will be working in a team and it is the duty of the team. If you are so afraid, why did you decide to get into a profession where management of people in one or the other way is of great importance.Investment banking, risk analysis WBM are very much sought after streams. You have it in you. That is why you were selected. The team that selected you must have looked for all those qualities.
4. M2 Grade: The people I talked to were over 45 years. We would be reaching the same grade atleast 15 years before. Think of the opportunities ahead.
5. NIIT University : Some were of the opinion that an IIM tag or ISB tag does make a difference when you reach the top and some companies are looking for 'ONLY IIM & ISB' for their top tier. The salary would also be different.
Please consider the options, weigh your preferences and make a right decision. There is no general answer. It all depends upon you. BLP is an opportunity to get into the middle management very quickly. It really is the cheapest one. All the best.

Hi..puys....i went to NIIT campus yesterday..and met April 2011 joinee Akshay Gaur,previously working in ICICI..so this is the info ,which i got..
1) Profile: In there batch ,the ratio is 18 risk,18 tech,22 Corporate banking..and the profiles were allotted after 3 months of 1st internship i.e 9 months into the course ...and profile depends on Ur OPQ,Faculty feedback, and definitely requirements at that time,Previous work-ex(sorry guys)..one guy was from sales in ICICI only and he got Risk...so it may change...
2) CTC: .cash in hand would be around 80-90k...and Max 50 K can be included in CTC as loan benefit of 2.5%..variable he told me would be at most 1.5 -2.0 lacs...it may vary 5-10%..
3) Sales: I think , i was most sceptical about this profile as many of my friends who have done MBA from FORE,ICFAI etc got into sales at AM-2 level had resigned within 6 months due to work pressure and etc...,so here is his input..
We would be joining at M-2 Level...Which is like 2 level ahead AM-2-->M-1-->M-2
So we would be in corporate banking group..which takes care clients with worth more than 100 crores..and doesn't include retail sales,which people from other colleges were doing, so in that person would be handling like 4 to 5 clients...
If u r growth oriented..this is the profile for u...maximum promotion..bonus..etc..(pressure....plz..c...banks are driven by sale....but that doesn't mean u will not have personnel life....Corporate banking 5 days a week......sigh of relief...:):):):).....
4)College Campus: SIngle hostel room,,,air ventilation good,microwave oven..per floor...common toilets......campus is neat and clean...gud facilites...badminton...tennis,,basketball......canteen facility..excellent...i got a menu ..card...if any one is foodie...i can send u a copy;)....
5) I had checked out some profile in LINKEDIN ...people who are M-2 level...have done there MBA from colleges like....SP jain,MDI,IMT,NMIMS..and they had joined at M-1 level.and also they had done..CFA,FRM....
6) He also said..internship is the base of this course....faculty comes from delhi...and is OK...they are trying to improve...
I am definitely in...i am currently in IT..no onsite :(
Do Your calculations,at what profile u r in right now..what are the growth opp remaining.there...What life style u want (Specifically IT people)...
If u have managed to get cat percentile >98.00 in previous attempts....and aim for TOP 10 MBA colleges of INDIA...then u can think over again...then,i fell this course is not for u...(My personnel opinion)...rest all are welcome...
Also...M-2-->CM-1-->CM---2>AGM-->DGM...almost each level takes 3 year...

@[476780:sarvesh108] definitely good analysis...dude..One thing about onsite is that it is never guaranteed esp in my case..I was about to go onsite but the project closed down...also one of my close friend's H1B got rejected last year...so IT people ..
if u wanna to get an MBA degree + good package + if u want to go away from coding stuff.....+ wanna to get a good managerial role ...thn. u shd always give a try to this programme..
also i enquired from one of my relatives doing mba from nitie , mumbai..she told that icici offers the role of ass. mgr in the placement there..which is 2 levels behind M2...
in the end it's ur decision folks......
