Hai friends I have been to Manipal academy of banking last week. It's purely sales job . Life in academy is very strict have to get up 4.30 in the morning do jogging everything should be on time. If even 5 minutes late to class u will be thrown out for a day. Hostel same state they won't put. Location preferences won't be given at any situation HR decision once made they won't change. I even heard that 38 batch guy near my place. His mother is very sick so he asked to put in Chennai but Hr said if you want to change location please quit and go. If any circumstances if you leave course u need to pay loan amount fully with very high interest rate on same day and quit. Think twice or thrice before joining this program

What actually happens at IMA (The FUN part basically): 5 am : Wake up call for Physical Training (PT) 5.10 am : Attendance Call for PT (If you're not available - Stipend deduction) 5.15 am : A Retd. Colonel starts your exercises. 6 am : PT time is over and you can start you day 7 - 9 am : Breakfast time (a good & healthy breakfast) 8.30 am : You start from hostel towards class (within campus) 8.35 am : You're not wearing a Tie - Thrown out - Stipend Cut 8.40 am : You're not wearing a Blazer - Thrown out - Stipend Cut 8.45 am : Your shoes are not polished - Thrown out - Stipend Cut 8.50 am : Your collar buttons are not on - Thrown out - Stipend Cut 8.55 am : You don't have your name/id card hanging on your blazer - Thrown out - Stipend Cut 9.00 am : After all the checks you've finally made it to the class 9 am : Classes begin The classes are mixture of different banking subjects varying from economics to sales and personal & behavioral stuffs, etc. Series of group discussions and presentations on a daily basis. 1 pm : Lunch Time (You reach the mess and enjoy the lunch which is pretty good (expect some days). Proper north indian and south indian items are available. ) 2 pm : You 2nd half of the classes start 2.10 pm : You start dozing off due to full stomach and strong air conditioning. 2.20 pm : You are caught dozing off by the professor and thrown out of the class 2.22 pm : You are standing out of the class and your buddy across the hallway is standing out in front of his class. You burst into laughter. So basically the 2nd half gets over while sleeping inside or outside the classroom. 6 pm : Classes are over At 6 pm : You will see 2 waves of blue blazer men and women going in two different directions- Right -> Towards the hostel campus. Left -> Outside campus for evening chai sutta and snacks. You are not allowed to smoke inside the IMA Campus. Outside the IMA Campus you are not allowed to smoke while you're in the IMA uniform. 6.30 pm: You come out of hostel towards the lane which connects hostel campus with college campus. The infamous "Love Street". Couples all around the campus. You can go out of the campus but you to return back before 9 pm for boys and 7 pm for girls. 9 pm : Hostel attendance call. 9.05 pm : If you miss the hostel attendance call by the hostel warden, all hell will break loose. You cannot have a night out without getting permission from proper authorities. Severe actions can be taken against you. 9.15 am : You are at your room with your geeky room partner. You do whatever you want : assignments from the classes, find your gaming buddy, watch tv, etc etc. 5 am : The game begins! So, moreover the IMA part is the real fun and it gets more interesting day by day because you will find crazy people breaking rules everywhere. There are various activities, events (academic, co-curricular, sports), etc that keeps happening. What happens after IMA (The stress part - only if you let it become so): Things to keep in mind: Explore all your options as a fresher before opting for this role, becasue There's a loan of around Rs. 3.30 to 3.50 lacs (which will be provide by ICICI for your PGD at IMA) and agreement for stay of 5 years. The loan EMI will be deducted from your salary. However, you can pay off the loan anytime (if you have that kind of money available with you). The pay is good for a fresher (better than market - for a fresher) but not for an experienced candidate. More deduction. There some rules & regulations which are pretty strict and annoying. The environment in the bank is sales driven and competitive. Let it not break you. Hence, have a firm determination before joining. The dinner inside the campus sucks big time (Breakfast & Lunch is way better at least during my stay there). You will get a chance to be at your home town branch for 2 months as in intern (After 2nd trimester is over). This is the best part. Final posting is in Bank's discretion. Stipend for 9 months in-campus training is Rs. 2.5k per month only. Stipend for 3 months in-bank training is Rs. 15k per month. All the best for your endeavor

Friends if you are interested in sales , I suggest you another option taking it upto u. Bjyu learning app whether everyone heard of it. There is opening for sales executive even for freshers monthly salary will be 55K per month . ICICI po Ur investing 4L and getting 20k salary is really worst.
