Some info about IDBI bank........
IDBI was constituted on 1 July 1964 under IDBI Act 1964 based on the model of Developmental Bank of Canada with a motive to provide direct and indirect finance to Industries. Government of India took over the controls of IDBI in 1975 and then transformed into independent autonomous statutory organisation.
It was regarded as a Public Financial Institution and continued to serve as a DFI for 40 years and was formally transformed into a Bank on 28 September 2004. It thus became 28th Public Sector Bank. IDBI Bank was earlier known as IDBI Ltd which was change to its existing name IDBI Bank Ltd on 7 May 2008.
My interview experience:
4 people were in the panel, 3 males n 1 female, all were very friendly and supportive. Mostly questions based on cv were asked like
y banking?
abt family?
Hobbies- mine ws reading novels so thy askd me abt that
y do we choose u?wat qualities u possess which make u resource fr our bank ?
how wil u convince people fr opening bank account?
Fiancial inclusion?
Shd having bank accnt be made compulsory?etc
Interview lasted fr 10 mins, overall it was good though it was my first interview. Guys take ur 10th n 12th marksheets along wid passing certificates, it is essential. All doc shd b self attested.
20 august. YMCA Tourist hostel, Delhi.
Doc verification was smooth, officials were cordial. I was the first to be interviewed in my batch. 5 members in the panel. 1 female, 4 males.
Questions asked:
Tell about yourself.
Questions on english language( based on CV)
Which zone would i like to be posted if given rural areas.
I have not left my home city till now, how will adjust outside.
Explain depreciation, NPV , Balance sheet.
Y am i better than others with no work ex.
Current position of IDBI.
Overall good first experience. Fingers crossed fr the results. Do prepare your CVs well but dont rely on it, i was asked just 1 question out of it. Good luck all 😃
