What is the weightage allocated to written test,essay, GD, PI in IIFT?
Somewhat pessimistic but very important consideration.
Agar khuda na khasta aaj IIFT nhi hua toh ?

Yaar result nahi toh kam se kam koi nayi notices ya placement report hi daal do....

" Aunty ji ne kaha aaj nahi ayega ji, 2 3 days mein aa jayega!". As a prospective student if the only question asked in the PI was "When the results are going to be declared?" and I give the same answer, how many marks shall I get? With same question and answer during a placement interview, shall I be offered the job?
I would love to see the reactions of the interviewers for this answer.
Shall we not be taught in the next two years to be specific in your points and not vague? We shall even be taught to set our goals as SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time bound).
Is it so difficult for the admission office to come out with a time frame for declaring results? Can we, the prospective student afford to miss the deadline of submitting forms, dox etc? The admiision office doesn't miss the deadline because there is no deadline!!!
My proposal to all the business schools is to declare a calender for all admission related activities as there is already a calender for academics and the academic calender is prepared for the entire course.
This is not only for IIFT but all B-Schools.
That shall be a very positive action from the administrators and a step in the right direction for attracting the bright guys like us.
And we shall not have to post so many polls and entertaining messages.
Hope some decision maker reads this message and takes necessary steps to be transparent in future. And Auntyji also shall be very happy to give out correct information and also relieved of the torture of answering all of us.

There is a chance that result might come around 14th April. Couple of people shared on the FB group. They might release a combined list after finalizing the NRI results.
This is a test of patience.

the way this colg is handling its admission process should answer all the questions about its standing as compared to other B-schools
In some countries like Japan, punctuality and commitment is a virtue. Certainly not in India it seems! Colleges like NM and SIBM-P adhered to the deadlines they had mentioned in their admission calendar. So should other institutes.
All we ask for is a date on which we can expect the result. For every aspirant there are many plans which are dependant on the result. The institutes need to take a lesson or two in punctuality, else the same lackadaisical spirit will be imbibed by its students. This is not good news!

As per the person spoken to - Result won't come today. Will definitely come by Friday (31st).
So patience is key, till then. And we have more time to introspect and explore other things in life. Our endless posts here are not going to change a thing.
A little disappointed with Media Committee though - they being at college could discuss with AO and give out a date in this forum. Will save numerous calls to AO and help curb the anxiety of candidates.
I know there are many things to be planned based on the result (trust me, I do too), but some things are beyond our contol and we cannot do much about it.
Anyway, till then chill out everyone. Peace.

Guys we understand the result has got delayed just a bit too much. And we can totally relate to what all of you must be going through since we too were in the same spot last year.
However result declaration is handled by the administration and we are as much in the dark as you are. We haven't been able to update you all since we got done with our exams today. And that includes the media committee.
We are constantly in touch with the admin (pestering them to be precise) and as soon as we get any news, you guys will be the first ones to know.
It's too much to ask for at this point, but please have patience, the result is just round the corner!
