WAT-GDPI experience.
Vanue: Bangalore
Wat: Data is the new oil
GD: Creativity or Efficiency: Choice of the Millenial
PI: Three panelists, two male and one female. Lets call them M1, M2 and F1
I entered and was asked to sit by F1
F1: So, tell me about yourself
I had rehearsed this well, and answered confidently.
F1: I see you are into animal welfare, how do you feel after helping animals
I replied and told that it is a satisfactory feeling.
M2: Why not poor people, why only animals?
Replied saying I do help everyone I can and there are many more organisations for people than for animals.
M2 was reading my form and found it that I had mentioned Xth, Grad and Xiith marks (in that sequence), He showed me the form and told that it is usually in chronological order or reverse chornological, what is this ordering?
I was surprised to see the sequence myself, Although nervous I smiled and told that it was unintentional and difused the situation.
M2: So, why MBA?
Answered what I had rehearsed, there was no cross-questioning
M1: So you do marketing at ____, what do you do, take me through the process
Explained
M1 asked a string of questions about my work and I replied with the best of my capacity.
M1: What leadership quality do you have?
Answered.
M2: You know I have seen the industry for 40 years, and I still believe traditional form of marketing is more impactful than digital marekting, what do you think about it?
I explained about targeted marketing, ATL and BTL
F1: Which Indian business leader do you look up to?
I pondered, there was none to be honest but I said Anand Mahindra and gave some reasoning, I also spoke about a director in my company and his management skills.
M2: Thank you.
The interview was then over. Among the three M1 and F1 looked satisfied with the answers. M2 maintained an expressionless face throughout.
Don't know what to expect, moving on to the next one for now.
All the best to all :)
