Similar question as below. How recent the university endorsed transcripts should be if at all it is required? I don't want to wait until last minute to get the transcripts when the universities will be busy getting lot of requests from students applying for foreign universities.

Hi, I am applying for PGPX R1 but I am yet to take GMAT (will take in coming 1-2 weeks).

The problem is that the registration for PGPX requires the GMAT Id which I don't have, and without it I cannot proceed with the application portal. 

Could someone let me know the various essay questions or subjective questions that are asked in the application so that I can start to write those answers before my GMAT is done (so as to save some time during actual application writing).

Hi, I plan to apply for R2 and am yet to sit my GMAT (my personal aim is to try and score at least a 710) could someone please review my profile and also comment on what an ideal score will be, in my case (any suggestions, even if on a very high level will be useful, thanks in advance)! CBSE 10th - 86% CBSE 12th - 89% Delhi University - B.com (Hons.) graduate first division Chartered Accountant (qualified in 2014) with the institute of chartered accountants in england and wales working with a big4 since 2010, i.e. 6 years (4 of which international work experience). I am planning to apply for R2, .I have no idea when the SOP/Essay need to be submitted, is this part of application and has to be submitted online while applying? Will it be good idea to start working on essay(SOP) side by side along with GMAT. Is there any question which I need to answer in my SOP or its generalized as reason for pursuing the course. Pls guide.

Hi..I am planning to take gmat by October 10th, so that have a chance to retake the test by nov 10th if the the score doesn't turn out to be good..and have a chance to apply for round 2 which ends nov 15. hope the strategy is fine??

Summary : I wish to know from present students of PGPX at IIM-A about the opportunities (such as acads, amenities, ECA, networking; and placements) available at IIM Ahmedabad, and through PGPX which can aid me in acheiving my post MBA (read PGPX) career goals.


Post MBA Career goal : To purse oil & gas management consulting / engineering consulting roles, OR higher level Project management roles for Oil & Gas projects.


Background : Completed my X, XII from Kendriya Vidyalayas, and Engineering (Mechanical) from BITS Pilani, Pilani campus. Worked for two years in Reliance Jamnagar refinery as Manager, for 3 years in Suez Oil & Gas Systems Abu Dhabi as Mechanical Design Engineer, and for 2 months (& continuing) for RasGas Doha as Interface Engineer. PMP certified.


Detailed question : I have done much research through various internet portals as well as IIM website, but I wanted an inside-outlook from present students (or others who are very much aware). My question

A. is not about my chances of getting into IIM A PGPX (I leave my profile evaluation to admission committee) but about what avenues I will be offered once I get into IIM A PGPX so that I can do justice to my career goal.

B. is not about my chances of converting those (few or many) Oil & Gas management or engineering consulting, project management roles` recruitment interviews with this profile (I leave that to the recruitment interview panel), but about how many such roles are offered in placements, if any?

Hello, The application form requires salary to be entered in USD only. This is odd if one has no international exposure. Does it mean that this program prefers candidates with international exposure? @adcom: Pl. Clarify.

Hi. The round 2 deadline is Nov 15. If I take GMAT by Nov 5-10, will I b able to fill up the form. I mean, will the test centre score card suffice for the application or I would need the official GMAT score Card. Thank u
