@newhere Since you already have two of your referees from work, it will be good idea to have a professor as your third referee. Choose someone who knows you well will give you good feedback. Again, there is not hard and fast rule in choosing the referees.

@aditijain89 the only other thing that you can do is that you can change your referee's email id and try again. though you must contact the admissions office ON PRIORITY

If you are able to include all the subjects, enter them. If it is protected and you can't edit it, you have no choice but to leave it as it is. As you are uploading the mark sheet, there should not be a problem. If you are still having doubts, drop a mail to admissions office.

I hadve a queation regarding referees...While in college, we organize a departmental fest cum reuiion thing...For that I was the convenor and have worked closely with an alumni of my college...Will that work as a refernce...I already have a reco frm college and work

If I give the id of a referee,what would happen? I know that some email communication would be carried out with that person. And would it contain any questions that the referee has to answer or just an acceptance mail with the referee will be being contacted later on only when some appraisal is required. Or do they need to by themselves write an evaluation of all things relevant. Actually one of my profs. is asking me to write a cursory write-up which he will modify later on.
And pls tell me whether these references will be really looked into and whether they make any phenomenal difference.

Please go through the previous posts to get the idea of how it works. To put it in short, once you give the details of the referees, a mail will be sent to each of them requesting to fill a form. The referee would have to write a few lines about you and your positives and negatives. References do play a part in the selection process and what they are expecting is the feedback from three people who know you very well which aids them to make a decision.

I'm applying through OBC-NC. I have obc certificate. which says i belong to non creamy layer. but it was issued in 2009. do i need to renew non creamy layer certificate?

Hello Seniors i had a question that, for reference can i contact a person in my previous company who knows me well and was the head of a department, but i was not directly reporting to him. I was in operations and he was in maintenance division.

Please let me know will this work. Thanks

@vaibjha: Yes. As long as the person knows you well, it doesn't matter what official reporting relation you had with him/her.
