P1: Since you did mechanical engineering, how familiar are you with Operations research? P1: I will pass on the baton to my fellow panelists now. (When I told her I'm more comfortable with stats and probability and linear algebra) P2: Which area of stats are you comfortable in? P2: Types of errors in hypothesis testing? P2: (Gave a problem on normal distribution), what is the Type 1 error of this problem? P3: Let's say you want to approximate the number of Red colored Maruti Altos running in your city.How will you approach this problem? P3: What recent government policies will you relate to Aatma-nirbhar Bharat? P3: What does being Aatma-nirbhar mean? P1: Question about a mistake in my application (Nothing Serious, I hope :| )
P1: Why did you leave your previous company?
P1: Do you know why the bank's interest rates change? (I said no)
P1: Okay, But still tell why do you think interest rates change?
P1: Do you pay income tax?
P1: What will happen if we increase income tax drastically like say go to 50%? Will it benefit the government?
P1: If you are Finance Minister and you have to suggest Modi to increase or decrease tax what is your suggestion?
P1: How is our system different from countries where it is currently 50% (since I mentioned them)

Why PGDBA? 3 Strengths and 3 weaknesses? How will you use your strength in this course? What are you doing to overcome weakness? Discussions switched to Toastmasters (I mentioned) 2nd Prof asked Maths questions on Calculating Minima for 2-3 functions, P&C ke 2-3 questions.. 3rd Prof was about General Awareness.. Asked BRICS, G7, Asked me to interpret recent GDP figure that came.. how accurate is GDP as a measure of the Economy? Seasonal variation of Businesses examples.. RBI vs SEBI and roles of both in the economy.. How to value a business? Role of Data analytics in that? Role of Data analytics in Finance barring Future Projections.. (I mentioned about detecting frauds and all).. Asked any 3 nation's with their national sports.. and countries dominating that sport.. Talked about some of mine extracurricular achievements.. and that's all..

P1: Tell me about yourself
Me: Well rehearsed version.
P1: In which field you graduated
Me: Metallurgical and Materials Engineering but presently working in a bank.
P1: So you're working in Bank. Have you used statistics.
Me: I know just basic fundamentals of statistics and have applied those in my field of work.
P1: What is regression?
Me: Tried to explain giving graphical representation. P1 not satisfied.
P1: How to calculate regression and how to know whether it is good or not?
Me: Went through the graphical method to present my interpretation. (P1 still not satisfied).
P1: What is correlation? How to calculate correlation?
Me: Explained it. Taking random set of variables. Calculation standard deviation and representing them. Then calculating corelation coefficient. (P1 passes to P2).
P2: What is binomial distribution?
Me: Said about binomial theorem. He pointed out.
P2: What is measure of central tendency and dispersion?
Me: Sorry sir. I don't have that much in depth knowledge on statistics.
P2: What is mean, median and mode?
Me: I defined it properly.
P2: Gave me a problem based on probability of default at 2% out of 10,000 customers?
Me: I calculated in a hurry and said based on that we can assume 9800 will not default and 200 will default. (P2 said ok and passed to P3).
P3: Well you're working in a bank so tell me what is bank?
Me: Explained properly.
P3: What is the difference between PSB and Private Sector Banks?
Me: Explained it with two points.
P3: Asked me about PMC Bank? Whether the government should pay the depositors?
Me: I was well aware of the scenario. So I tried to give a neutral judgement.
P3: Which Bank is the largest and which bank is largest in europe?
Me: JP Morgan, USA and Deutse Bank, Germany.
P3: Where is Deutse Bank?
Me: I don't know exact location but a guess will be Frankfurt, Germany.
P3: Why that location?
Me: It's the financial hub of Germany.
P3: On what basis we classify a bank as large bank?
Me: Told based on amount of deposits, credit portfolio and such. (Forgot to mention revenue)
P3: Why you want to pursue PGDBA and can you tell me a scenario where you have used statistics?
Me: Well rehearsed version. Explained with a project done with a resturant and catering company working capital requirement. Also said that I'm learning finance through CMA and want to learn analytics through PGDBA.
P3: Gave me a scenario of PNB Nirav Modi case. In your opinion who should be held accountable?
Me: From top to bottom.
P3: Whether the upper are being held accountable?
Me: It depends on how the cases are handled. Mostly the upper one will escape.
P3: How to make sure a company doesn't default?
Me: Proper monitoring and level of creditors and debtors.
P3: You're very much well versed with the banking system.
Me: Thank you sir.
P3: Whether P1 and P2 want to ask anything else.
P1: You have any thing you want to say. Or you can leave the meeting?
Me: Sir I was unable to completely understand the probability of default question. Thanks for giving me this opportunity.

As on website when they rescheduled interviews to may they have mentioned the results are on next day( delay being the reason to fast-track the results ). I think it's fair to expect results to be announced tommorrow then.
This question is a bit irrelevant, but how many aspirants gave the pgdba 2020 exam ?? Can anyone tell me the approximate figure .....any source which shows the total number of candidates who gave the exam ???
