I know that it's extremely improbable but I have some doubt regarding the veracity of my rank in the waiting list. The details are moot at this point but can anyone suggest how to know my final score? Should I mail them or do I have to file an RTI (a bit far-fetched)? Thanks.

WL - 14 (GEN). Is it possible?
The 2nd waitlist will be released on October 01. In that case, is it mandatory to have the release date for employed people before Oct 08? We have to give notice period of at least one month to our organization

Firstly congratulations to everyone who made it. You all have a thriving journey ahead so be ready for the ride. But this post is not about you, it's more meant for the people who unfortunately couldn't make the interview.
I have been talking to people who were in waitlists and are not sure if they could make it. Many amongst those don't have anything else for now. I just want to address all those people that I know it's hard for you, it's hard spending 8-9 of crucial months for an exam just to get missed by a few marks. Covid has already made people's life more stressful mentally, you must have pressure from your family or from your self- esteem. Just remember that you are not lesser than anyone who got selected, you are not intellectually inferior or anything. Exams like this with few seats and huge weightage of the interview are often about luck. I know people who cleared the interview just by talking about themselves. It's more of luck which panel you get, if panelists have any prejudices about things you did etc. So don't feel low. You all did great and success you are seeking will follow you eventually. Just believe in yourself. I believe in you.
For those who are looking forward to giving this exam one more shot, I will try to talk with this year's batch and develop a guiding framework for all the aspirants.
