What to prepare for beyond the MBA interview questions?

Preparing for an interview is much more than just planning for the questions that you will be asked. You need to prepare yourself mentally so that you can perform to the best of your abilities. Based on my experience, I want to share four tips that will help you develop the mental attitude to succeed.

1. Few days before the interview, imagine each and every aspect of the interview. Right from the moment you walk into the room, shake hands with the panel and introduce yourself to answering the questions.

This is a tip that many sports people follow. It calms your nerves and helps you feel more prepared.

2. Practice power poses. They will help you feel in control and exuberate confidence. Spread yourself wide on the sofa or chair. Keep you feet on top of your table (at home of course). Imagine that you’re the king of the jungle.

3. Think positive. Don’t let an iota of doubt enter your mind. If any negative feelings come to your mind, push them away and think positive. If that doesn’t work, write positive thoughts on paper. It will help you deliver your best and feel confident.

4. Build a support function. Surround yourself with positive influencers such as your friends and loved ones. Or you can believe that a supreme power such as God is with you and would guide you and ensure everything goes well.
