INFY would not sack u ... but there are many fresh trainees kept on the bench or given some boring projects ... All software companies have to show RESOURCES .. thats why they intake so many people .. and so not everyone ends up with good work. !!!
Dheeraj, Whatever response you get here is all the response you will get. One more INFY thread and you wont be posting here anymore.
Learn to be patient and wait for the junta to respond to this post. New threads wont solve your issue. Patience.

me in a dilemma now. i have got offers frm both Infosys and CTS. Which one is better? I do have an inclination 4 one of them. but i dont have much info abt the work and all of both of them. so if u guys can enlighten me, maybe i can take my decision more convincingly. PLS PLS HELP!!!

Infy -> possibly better image, better work environment
CTS -> better pay, more chances of rise
Take your own pick, i would have gone in for CTS.

i'm on the same track as ur's. i took the exam on may 16th and had my interview on 18th may. i got the same mail saying that i'm thro' on 2nd of April. even i was skeptical about whether i wud receive the offer letter or not, but i have a few friends working over there who say that the offer letter wud be given at any cost.
my situation is worse than ur's, as i have a job at SATYAM and i have o join by july 17th. even i am in a dilemma.... :!:

I've resigned from CTS on 20th of may and am on notice period till friday - I'm leaving cos i got admission in iit-b - but personally, I've been here for 6 motnhs and have really enjoyed it - the work pressures are always there but then that's there for any services company - i personally recommend CTS tho' I don't know jack abt Infy so..... take it as an absolute stand rather than a relative one

Mihir and inkognito, thanx a lot for ur replies. well, i have got similar opinions frm everyone i have talked with till now abt this dilemma of mine. the prob with me is dat on one hand, i dont feel comfortable abt dropping an offer frm as big and popular a company as infy. infy's brand name is definitely bigger than cts. but then, on the other hand, ppl tell me dat because of this mass recruitment, infy has lost a bit of its charm and the facilities r not that good. here cts seems to beat infy all the way. gee, i'm confused. i guess, i'll have to jot down the pros and cons on a piece of paper and think hard and decide. but thanx a lot for all the info guys. really appreciate the help.
One thing you can be sure ...The facilities are world class....Nowhere in India would you find such facilities..... NOWHERE. 
Brand name counts mann..... All Cos tend to follow in the footsteps on infy....
Ur doubt abt mass recruitment seems pretty natural....But look it as a sign of a growing company...

i am a fresher of 2004 batch in computer science and engineering who
got a job offer from CTS thro their offcampus recruitment on 5th june...
the problem is that i have been offered admission into M.Tech course in
industrial engg and mgmt at IIT kanpur after i cleared both the test and interview...
so i am in a fix now...plz enlighten me in choosing between these two...
what abt the placement opportunities after doing IME course at IITK?
is that dept good enough?
what abt the growth opportunities at CTS?
some cts new recruits did say that there will be hectic work schedule
and if i do join there with an idea of getting some WORK-Ex for CAT,
it will be nearly impossible to get some prep
the last date for paying fee to IITK is 2nd july.
i do believe in the wisdom of this forum ...
so please do reply quick!!

my take is-go for CTS.me 2003 passout,friends in almost all good companies.
cts>infosys,wipro,kanbay,satyam etc.the training is good,pay too
ime is good but too tech based,soft skills not too stressed
HI people,
I dont think u need to have any prior knowledge of any language before joining infy. Infy believes in adaptability. So u wont be thorn out if you are able to adjust to the training quickly.
Anyways, now infy does not thorw out anyone. It will keep on giving you chances to pass the test untill you yourself run out of comany in frustration:-) So dont worry.
Well if you want you may just go through basics of C programming and RDBMS concepts. WIll definetly help.

First The facilities... At Infy...
The Best part of infy is the campus structure.... Nowdays very difficult to have campuses... Trust me its fun working in huge campuses
In entertainment all campuses have swimming pool,basketball,Baddy courts, pool, Excellent gyms(m/cs are world class) ,all those small indoor games....
Some have squash,golf course lawn tennis.....
Campuses have auditoriums which are made great use during events....
Food......Lots to choose from
Bangalore :- 6-7 canteens
Pune :- 3 canteens
All others have 2 canteens with dominos,Cafe Coffee day and all that....
Infrastucture;- Amazing... The pcs ull get to work on will be the latest...I hear now currently they are planning to move to some thin LCD screens for all.......
Abt the Bond it depends on the HR........They may let u go or not....
Otherwise pay the prescribed bond amt and go.
