Hi Nikhil,

It is a very subjective question and very debate oriented too. If you want to see the infrastructure and facilities then do join Infy. I don't know much about Sapient. But work may be more or less the same.

nice suggestion Palak. its as though ppl ask which hotel is better A or B and someone saying, well in A the air condition works very good. so if you want to cool of then join A, but if you want to have your yummy biryani with a sweaty shirt then join B.

Hey Bharath,

It is right. How can we judge two companies when we had worked only for one. Saying either A is better or B is worse is just an speculation in that case.
So, why go for speculation. We can only tell what is good in A if we had worked for it only. So that is what I did.

I had asked you a few things about the job letter abt 2 mnths back..I dont think you would remember that,so will explai again. I am from Bhopal. Our Campus was conducted on 16th Jan, 08 and about 28 students were selected from our college. The Infy HR said that ours was the first recruitmnet in 2008.

Now its over 10 months,but we havent got any letter or mail whatsoever from infy. Our seniors got their letters in September last year,and got their joining on 21st Sep I think. What shall we do?? Its already so late,and I know that Infy is a very ethical company,and would certainly make some contact,but its not easy just waiting like this,especially considering the economic scenario now. No other comapnies are expected to visit in the near future for our batch either..And atleast they could have sent some confirmation. Even TCS have already sent a background Check Form,and another such form in this interval..

Can you all help in any way??

Regarding your query. Yes they check percentage when you join the company. The minimum percentage criteria is different for different universities. So, please tell us from which university do you come from and then only we would be able to suggest. Normally it varies from 57 - 70%.

They will simply ask you to leave. No questions asked, no relaxation given!!

I think many of the companies like TCS are starting their campus selection drives from this march(for the batch of 2010)

It depends on the agreement between your college and the company. Ask your Placement Officer.
