Completed my B.Tech(CSE) in 2008 & placed in 2 MNC's (Satyam & Syntel), but due to recession i could not join either of these companies. I got a job in chennai in one of the software companies in PRESALES team where we used to do estimations of the project, where i learned how to talk to customer regarding estimations of the projects, but pay is very less here as i have no prior experience in this industry.
But from my college days i am very interested of doing MBA but after some 2 years of work experience, now i completed 10 months in that company & wanted to go for MBA this year, will it be fine if i go for it with this sort of work experience. no i got one more offer from ICICI bank as a Probationary Officer where i have 4 years of bond for it. If i join ICICI bank i cant come out for next 4 years & fear that i may have oppurtunity of pursuing MBA.
By the time i come out of Bank i will be having 3 years of work experience in ICICI Bank & 1 year in IT Industry, can i go for MBA then? if so which stream wold be good for me?

This is Amit from Bangalore. Have completed MBA frm XLRI and thank PG for getting there 😃 Im a marketing gold medallist frm XL and am presently working as Marketing Manager for a FMCG MNC.
But as they say, the quest for knowledge is never complete. So I want to pursue a PHD in marketing from US/Singapore. The key help I need frm fellow puys is:
1. Veterans plz guide me about the process of going about this thing
2. Plz tell me some good b-skools for PHD in Marketing
I hope tht my second sting at PG will be as prolific as the first one.
