Cheerz,
Hi
As all new members are required to introduce themselves, here goes nothing.
My name is Aditya Bhaisora and I usually go by the moniker of "Adi".
Educational Background
I've received relatively high grades in my O and A Levels.
I've got a Bachelor's in Engineering from University College London, London with a 2-1 grade with a scholarship in my first year. I've completed CFA Level 1 and am on track to wrap up CFA Level 2 next year.
Work Experience
I've had 4 years of experience working as a Newsmetrics Analyst at a medium sized firm based in London which have been quite highly rated. This was carried out while I was at university - ergo 3 days of work and 4 days of university. Worked primarily to fund my university costs and gain some experience.
I've been working for the past two years as a Business Analyst in a multinational IT firm in London. Worked as a SE for a period of 6 months, then moved into a BA role and am now working as BA/Project Manager for a number of different projects at an investment bank.
Extra Curricucular
I've lived in about 7 different countries for a period of 3-4 years each primarily in South Asia, South East Asia, the Middle East and Western Europe. This meant being educated under a variety of different educational systems and meeting people for a variety of different cultures. I've learnt a number of languages as part of this experience. This experience also led to being part of a variety of functions that required representation and leadership.
I'm an avid squash player competing in regional championships in London and an avid swimmer.
I'm looking at working in the Consulting Sector for the next 5 years with a focus primarily on management consulting. I'm thinking of applying for an MBA sometime next year - the 2011 batch effectively.
I'm curious whether a profile such as mine would be rated as weak or average for applying for a few top MBA schools in India or the States. Any advice to improve my profile would be great!

Hi,
I am specifically looking for QQAD on pagalguy. I got to hear that it is really good. Can anybody pls tell me how to subscribe to it ?
Having been a PG visitor for the last few years but never commented or formally joined as I was never sure whether I should be doing an MBA or not. However, this time I am at a cross over where I feel that I need to add strategy, marketing and finance to my armory if I have to succeed in achieving my goals...in short, I am feeling that life/education is incomplete without an MBA.
Background -
CA/CPA by profession and have been working in Assurance services with a Big4 for past 4.5 years. Started off in amchi Bombay and currently working in California, US. I have been married for over an year now and I feel if I don't do it now, I will never do it and it will always linger in the back of my mind that I wanted to do MBA but never went ahead and believe me its a pretty sick feeling.
So, my plans are to give GMAT in March 2010 and I plan to start preparing from December 2nd week. Even though I am in US, I want to look at colleges outside US as well as the opportunity cost for me is pretty high and the experience of my few friends who completed there MBA in 2009 has been pretty sour as they had to head back to India.
I am not sure which colleges would be still open for application for 2010. So, if there is a post which I can view which can help me plan for application dates and financing availability, that would be great.
Also, if anyone wants to buy some books from here and mail it to you, please let me. I will be more than willing to help out buddies :)
