I had submitted my application for PGP 2016-17 under the regular entry method but the pdf version of the application states it as an application for EEO for 2015. I have written to admissions team about it. Has any body else faced same / similar problem?
One important advise, never ever ever quit your job for preparing for GMAT or other exams !! And if that wasn't foolish enough, some actually mentioned that in their application essays this time. Your pre ISB experience is the most crucial aspect of your ISB journey, your career post ISB completely depends on it, so be smart about it. Quit job only for something better. (Quitting job to find a job which interests you or one which aligns with your career aspirations , is a great story; quitting job to study for GMAT is a Bad story , Please don't do it)
ALso, you are not expected to compulsorily have direct subordinates , the admission team is smart enough to figure out that a service engineer from Kakinada Institute, working in inf##ys will not be leading 10 people with just 2-3 years of post undergrad experience. Its absolutely fine to not have direct reportee , its absolutely NOT OK to lie.
does isb not require a resume ? or am i missing something on the application form ?
Anyone out there with application status still showing as 'Application Submitted Online'? Getting a bit worried now. 😛
Planning on taking the gmat in Jan for cycle 2.Can i apply immediately after taking the test?Or should i have to wait for the official scorecard(along with AWA marks)?
Hi Guys,
I scored 690 on the GMAT (taken last year). However, I have 90% + in 10th and 12th and 82% in graduation (non-IIT/NIT)
Decent extra-curriculars, and currently working in a management consulting firm as a business analyst.
Will the low GMAT score hurt or will my academics make up for it?
The reason being I am finding almost no time to study again for my GMAT
P.S- I graduated this year and will be applying through the EEO in R2
Fun fact 1:
What is common between lot of applicants?!
Ans: They have a common unique strength of being a quick learner!
PS: Nothing wrong about it,it's just a common trend in lot of apps I have seen so far!
Okay correct me if I am wrong... ISB takes into account of your Graduation %age, work ex, extra curricular, NGO work etc.. Your 10th and 12th percentage is not taken into consideration... I think I read it somewhere on the official website...
Hi Guys ..
In case you get a interview call and you are not available in the city during that weekend, will ISB agree to postpone the interview date ?
Any updates about the ISB R1 interview dates? Has ISB started giving out interview calls?
need contact of alumni or current student .. please ping me
12 days since application, another couple left before the "2 week" deadline for review of application. Shouldn't it have moved to "Completed"? :/
Which is the best online verbal course for GMAT?
How is Crack Verbal or eGmat?
Okay I know this is a stupid question. I also know that I confirmed and reconfirmed that there was just one evaluator form (Reco) for the application. But now, when I login to check the checklist of documents submitted to ISB, I notice that there is an option for 2 evaluator forms. Can someone throw some light on this? Danke!
Going with the theme of Bihar elections, here is an ISB interview question that you may want to prepare for: "If you had to explain your job to Mr. Lalu Yadav - how would you do that?"
All the Best!

PS: A similar question has been asked in the past!

Firstly, I am worried about my low Quant score, should I retake the exam before applying?
Secondly, I completed my Engineering from a government university in Uttar Pradesh - Purvanchal University, secured 72% and was among the top 5 students in my class. Does graduating from a largely unknown University effect my chances to land an interview?
Lastly, please suggest what should should I mention in the optional essay in order to strengthen my profile.
Thanks
Hi Puys,
I am applying for R2, I have query regarding the essays.
Will it be a disadvantage if i write about things i have achieved in my high school and college life for the first and second essays? And by disadvantage i mean to ask if it will seem quite old? As i have 3+ years work ex and i am writing about stuff that are 4-5 years old.
The reason i am asking this is because the 3rd essay is about my professional goals anyways. Hence i wanted to include experiences from my personal life to add some dimension and give me an edge.
Or is this a wrong approach? And i should stick to achievement or incidents related to my work life.
Thank you for your time. 😃
So I've done some insane trawling through previous years forums and invariably ISB officially announces the city wise schedule around 28th/29th after the 15th deadline. Let's see if the trend continues.
PS: apologies. I know I talk too much.
