Hi puys,

My profile
1. My 10th - 77:|, 12th - 72:banghead:. Engineering (mech)- Agg 63 (First class) Grad Certificate says BE with distinction.
Acads I guess are avg.
2. Work Ex - 3.5 Yrs as of now in project engineering management role.
3. EC - Nothing too great..play football, basketball, TT. cycling.
- No certificates as such. Will be participating in Enduro adventure race

Planning to learn programming (app related.) in the next few months. Dont know if it will help in profile.

Does the profile stand a chance or something more would be required in terms of profile.

Guys please help.


How is the GMAT? As lotta experts have said, a good GMAT will compensate your acads.
Technical knowledge would not be of much help for a management course. If you r getting some leadership roles due to this,then its fine.

Everyone has a chance. Profiles are not born,they are made.

When the R1 deadlines come out, write to ISB,talk to a counsellor about your profile. It will help.

yeah.. the one year courses in IIM A/B/C which accept GMAT and offer placements and where I won't get a Munnabhai feeling when I walk into the class.

Any other suggestions?

Supposed to be good avg sal is 16L but I would rate SP Jain PGPM higher than this purely because of location advantage..

arre pagle... tension kyon leta hai.... you can join the MBA course from the uni that the guy - GOPAL of Chetan Bhagath's latest book fame. you wont get munnabhai feeling there also... Even I will join you... chal daaru peete hain...

Any idea about XLRI-GMP? Hows it?


GMP is good if you are continuing in your current profile. Placements decent. Same curriculum as the 2 year PGP. And the brand XLRI.

This year, they did not have essays. Shortlist on GMAT/acads and interview. So, planning to apply next year.

Personally, XLRI is in my home town and have seen the campus n crowd .. its worth it.
