I feel that they are keeping the ones with 5+ years of experience for the last part.......any thoughts............
those who have got interview calls.. may i know when you got 'the mail' from ISB? @sudhir3127 , @akki.oceanic , time and date preferrably.. looking for patterns here :(

hi,
oh.. and I'm a CFA level 3 candidate
For those who are worried bout the slowness of ISB's interview process (i am too :)), just thought will give it the 'guesstimate' approach.
a. Total no. of applicants to ISB ~ 8000
b. No. of applicants for R1 ~ 50%(a) = 4000
c. No.of applicants who are called for the R1 interview ~ 50%(b) = 2000
Since interviews started in the first week of October, we will then have 3 weekends in Oct and 1 weekend in Nov in Hyd alone. Additionally, say 3 weekends each from Delhi and Kolkota.
That gives us a total of 10 weekends of interviewing nation-wide.
Lets assume there are 8 panels on an average in every center who can take 12 interviews a day. Thats around 96(~100) students on a weekend-day. Since we will have to take into account 2 weekend-days (Saturday and Sunday), the count doubles, accommodating around 200 students/per weekend.
For 10 weekends, the total no. of students would be 2000 students.
With some interviews happening on weekdays as well and assuming there are more panels who do more interviews per day, I think ISB should be in a position to call all students it wants to :)
There is always the downside of my numbers going totally wrong :)

i think 4000 applying in first round is too much.
i think we have reasonable evidence on this thread to know the number is below 2k.
The interaction i had with adcoms and current/past students ISB at max gets 5000 apps in total (R1and R2)...and historically a little more apps come in for R2 vs R1.
