ISB Class of 2014 aspirants.

@rahulsbisen Did u go for any coaching in GMAT? If yes then which one?

@sashm No i just picked up some Manhattan books and made a schedule for myself.

I got a interview call (Kolkata) yesterday - 3rd Nov, Saturday!! My profile: Work ex- 4.5 years, GMAT - 760, Above average academics (B. Tech CGPA - 8.25), Extra curriculars in technical field as well as cultural.

To which ISB mail-id should i mail in case i need to reschedule it from 3rd Nov to 4th Nov?

@Shoan dudes ... dint I tell u we're gonna go along ... though I go one day before #3rd Nov ... ... all the best dudes ... hoping for both to convert ...

i am still waiting..

@harichids Thanks!
@thebard Thanks dude.. will definitely give it my best!
@sunilm98 Thanks! will surely do that
@HopeIsAGudThing Thanks! Will work towards converting it this time
n no worries, u'll get that call!
@akki.oceanic damn! nonetheless, no sweat.. we'll both convert n make Hyd home for a year soon
@akki.oceanic n yes, kickarse that interview! ATveryB!
@Shoan : Congrats dude...ATB

So we have finally come to the last week of calls release...i am not sure wat to expect now...

@Carnivalof_rust calls calls calls... and $hit loads of those

most ideal scenario for me over the next 24 hours... 1. united beats chelsea tonight; 2. my boss doesn't ask me for the report that i was supposed to submit on friday; 3. ISB sends me a sweet text message that says "come, interview with us".

@HopeIsAGudThing : if you want Gods to laugh tell them ur plans.... i believe that by tuesday or thursday if we dont get calls we should started looking for our other options...

i mean " start"..

@HopeIsAGudThing : it is like ISB has got constipation wen it comes to giving out those : S**t loads of calls"... i mean no offence plzzz...:)..

I am not sure what is going on , I thought I had atleast a good chance to get an interview with this profile but guess I overestimated it.710 GMATGrad : 72.5% from Pune University4 years 8 month experience in Product Development and IT Consulting.1.5 years International experience in UK and USStrong recommendations and decent EC's. Now i am not sure whether it was my essays or my GMAT score which let me down. With calls for next weekend done, I kinda have lost hope. Time to focus on other schools.
I don't think your GMAT score is a problem. In any case I hope you do get an interview call.

Just for some general reasoning that can also help you with your other b-school essays:

1. did you show career progression in your essays/ resume section?
2. did you have clear and logical career goals?
3. Did your goals sound like they would not be achievable without the MBA? In other words, did they justify the MBA?
4. Did your essays reflect maturity in you?
