@will_i_make_it is there anyone whose application no. got changed but dint receive call??
has anyone got his skype interview done? Can you please share your experience? my interview is on 9th Nov for US location. Are they also giving the "one word for extempore" ?
are skype interview calls over? or people are still getting it
ISB, I am waiting !!
Guys, had my interview yesterday. Sharing my interview experience.
Interview was conducted by 2 alumni's. Went on cool, they gave me enough time to explain what I had written in my essays.
My 2 cents to fellow aspirants: DO NOT OVER PREPARE.
Concentrate on points which are very obvious in your essays. Do not dig deep. I had written something in my essays which I thought everyone would understand and so had concentrated deep into it. When they asked me a simple question about what it was, as if they had never heard about it, I was not ready for that. This I am sure can happen to anyone out here. We tend to over prepare assuming that people have general idea about common topics but we forget that the interviewers can be from an other industry.
Cheers
Naveen

No one-word essays for skype interviews. They asked the usual - why mba, and about my hobbies. Interview panel consisted of the Admisssions director and 1 alum. What's your panel #?
hell tough time.
isb is making us mentally tough.
@shashank_mrt Hey buddy, can you possibly share whether your application number had changed, and if yes, what are the first two digits of your new number?
got a call right now...!! so relieved!! interview schedule - panel 1, 10:40 am 11th Nov.
@rohan80 rolling method implies that the adcoms don't release the result in one go, instead they continue to do interviews, evaluation and selection simultaneously. Though this gives them the leverage to categorize and group the applicants, ranking them accordingly but this method leads to BIG chaos and anxious time for the applicants.
got an admit from IIM-C, still waiting for a shortlist from ISB, Delhi candidate,

This is significant. I think this is the 1st call reported for the 11th Nov ( last day of the i/v window). Assuming that the i/v slots are allotted in a chronological order, this implies that only few slots are remaining. Thanks ISB to give me some more jitters

with calls already being given out for 11th, so is it game over for other delhi candidates? Aren't the number of calls posted really less this time for delhi?

Agree completely...
In my case (had I/V yesterday) - there were 3 alums - initially the first few questions were from the essays... as if they were checking the authenticity and how genuinely you mean what you have written (with some cross questioning and clarifications).... In addition to those there were other questions on hobbies, goals etc. (which I felt were to judge if you are really passionate about them) And lastly - similar to what I had expected, there was a guesstimate question - like - "how many cars in your city". More important here is the approach that they would look at, not the ultimast answer that you give them. And as it often happens - the interview will be lot different from what you would imagine in advance. So, the more you are yourself - the more are the chances of you giving your best...! Hope that helps.
