ISB Class of 2014 aspirants.

Spoke to ISB Hyderabad today..Today evening is the last chance of receiving any calls for Delhi! Beyond today there is "NO HOPE"
quoting the lady here

Not many 11th Nov calls yet and also less evening calls for 10th, I got a call at 6.30 yesterday for 10th ... Am sure you would receive calls at 6.30 today for 11th I/v. so bear till 6.30 , i am sure whatever anybody says more i/vs will roll out

Hey puys ..

I am the silent observer of this thread from past few days and found that you guys have all the info of ISB .

Just wanted to know whether the delhi interview dates rescheduled mail was sent to everybody who chose delhi or to the selected ones??

@NJ1207 Only for Delhi calls or HYD as well?

I had lost hope of getting a call almost a week ago.

But there it was.. sitting in my inbox this morning!!
I'm super elated is an understatement..!

Skype interview scheduled for the 8th of Nov but since I'm visiting home for Diwali and I'll be at Mohali, I'll request them to consider me for an on campus interview.

And for all those who aren't confident because of their GMAT scores, here's what I want to share:

GMAT1: 640
GMAT2: 630

Work Ex: 4 years approx

Dont loose hope yet. There is still a week to go. Doc + International experience sounds good.
@Tan23 Thanks for giving me hope when I needed it the most. :)

@sugamtaneja Told ya! Crack the interview now :)
guys, do "interview location" plays a part in deciding if one gets an interview call or not? I hv opted for 'delhi' and i m still waiting for a call.....got calls from other indian b-schools i applied for but not from ISB (where i gave my best in app)....
@Pagal_guy_alok I think it was sent to everybody en-masse

What's with ISB's animosity towards IT crowd? They'd need people to be placed as Product Managers in Amazon, Google, MS right?

@navneesh theoretically it could , but I dont think it does, and do not give up there is time left for Dli i/v
@ISBAspirant100 I do not think they have any animosity, if you see the class profile IT is the highest percentage. But it is fair for them to try and get other profiles to increase diversity and learning experience.

What they ask is for differentiation? which we all do for example as consumers of say cold drinks.

You need to have that extra fizz, is their requirement I guess
@pankaj.khater Among IT crowd itself, there's a huge differentiation, some work for startups, some start their own ventures, some want to become entrepreneurs.. labeling all candidates as IT somehow restricts to see this differentiation. That's what the tragedy is.
@mcsard Mostly for logistical reasons, they also ask you to write one word essay which is going to take you some time.
@pankaj.khater Call them Pankaj, that would be better than mail.
Now ISB, now?

@@pankaj.khater Yea man, keeping fingers crossed until EOD.....:p

Hello Puys,

Just had my skype interview. It lasted 15 minutes. Panel was very friendly and encouraging. No grilling. No word was given.

Apart from the regular 3 questions 'Why ISB', 'Why MBA' and ' Greatest Achievement at work' all other questions were based on my essays. Panel was very familiar with my essays and applications.

Panel asked specific questions around one of the quotes I had used in my essay. They asked questions specific to my hobbies as to why I do it. And apart from my hobbies what are my other interest areas.

In the end they asked if I wanted to add any thing to the interview and if I had any questions for them.

Be very familiar with your essays and applications. Give to the point answers. Be ready for some cross questioning. Be confident.

Good luck to all. Now the wait begins.
