@RJ687 I heard from an alum that about 20% opt for exchange programmes.. then again there are the placement months that coincide with the exchange prog.. so if there are people who dont wanna sit for placements (self employed or people looking to get back to their old jobs or have ppos) go for exchange progs..
The fact that you need to bid (and so depends on how many points you put on the school you like to go to) and the extra cost of exchage (travel and such amounting to about 5lacs more) also encourages or discourages people from going on an exchange.
