I know this is a off topis question here and have been asked thousands of times on multiple posts.. but just want a blunt reply.. based on ur exp..

Well dude.. I got a 660 when I studied on my own (49 and 31) .. I could have done a bit bettr in Verbal (started it 2 mins late) and would hve touched 700+.. Considering all that,If you wanna hand to advise then read on..
Quant:
GMAT tests the almost basics in Quant.. If you were a good maths student in class and engineering.. Just brush up the topics from Official Guide and you should be good to go.
Verbal (Sentence Correction):
THis is the bad part.. You need to know theory and a few tricks (for eg: 3/2).. You refer books like Manhattan GMAT Sentence Correction, remember a few Idioms and you are good.
Verbal (Critical Reasoning):
There are a few tricks here as well. Pickup the Kaplan 800 and you will know them all.. Again this depends on more of your aptitude and less on what you would be taught.
Verbal (Reading Comprehension):
The OG has a hell lot of RC passages. If you solve them all and make good notes along the way, you can tackle this.
Mock Tests:
Buy any Manhattan GMAT book and you get 12 free tests. register on beatthegmat site and you get frequent mock tests. Once you give the mock tests,go over the answers and identify where you were incorrect/correct.
Seeing the above, I don't think you need a coaching institute to crack the GMAT.
Only help the classroom coaching might provide is to maintain the momentum of your preparation. But dude, If you want it bad enough you won't need that push from someone else.

Guys I was on the waitlist for this year and today only they gave me an admit for mohali campus. Though I am dubious in this case but still am super excited.will update you all with my decision

Thanks mate!! rite now i am in office so can not write in detail but will definitely write something in the evening and I am sure am going to answer some of the questions that were posted earlier (like the start up exp while doing your job...ethical aspect. and the overall ambition that is very important point of your application). pehle maine answers isliye nahi diye becoz I myself wasn't that sure either.

When would be the calendar up for ISB Class-2014? There is no info on their website as of now. Also just want to know in what cases do ISB accepts deferrals?
