Hi guys just wanted to ask a small doubt .
In case you are short listed then I believe that the interviewers don't have your GMAT scores and your acads.
But does that mean that you have crossed the hurdle of the GMAT score or is it that both the things have their own weightage and then you will be evaluated later and some amount of weightage given to your gmat score or is it that once you have made it to the interview,only the interview matters.Please tell me if you have authentic info.
@rochak22 Once you are shortlisted the interviewers won't worry too much about your GMAT score. If they are really that bothered about your GMAT score then chances are that you won't even be shortlisted for an interview. So don't worry too much about your GMAT score now.
To be on the safe side prepare yourself to answer a question regarding your poor GMAT score in interview. (I still feel it isn't necessary though!)
@rochak22 I ask the same question in priority counseling call and did not get any straight answer. The lady replied that they do not disclose the weight-age of different components in final selection criteria.

First my profile
1. Acads ( x -93% X11- 94.5% b.tech (EEE)- CGPA 7.14)
2. Work experience of 1.5 years in a leading switch gear manufacturing company
Responsible for marketing and sales team , met deadlines and improved sale of a product by 200%
3. Currently pursuing M.tech at IIT Bombay ( in an off beat branch "Technology and Development") deals with socio technical aspects, working on solar electrification of a village in rural Maharashtra, which would include solar water pumping involving villagers,panchayat, and other stake holders which is quite complex .
4.Extra curricular -decent
5.GMAT -700
My dilemma-
Should I finish my degree at IITB and apply for an MBA? will an off beat branch add any credit to my application? the branch deals with improvement in rural areas and working with NGO's
Or should aim for PSU's /join some other job and gain 2 more years of experience before I apply?
Please suggest

@karthik09 It is better to have a job profile somewhat related to your future goals or current education. Don't join in some random job just to add on some experience to your profile.
As far as MBA goes, there are very very few reputed colleges that accept less than 2 years of work experience from applicants. So you have to work more before you apply for an MBA.
I was waitlisted for interview and was to be considered along with R2 applicants. Got an interview call today.
I too was waitlisted in R1 for interview. And I got my interview call today.
Interview on 20th Dec.

I had submitted my app on 30th and the last reco was also received by them on the same day....but I am still awaiting verification mail. I think it will still take some time to go through each and every app and send the verification mails.

Even I had submitted my app on 30th Nov and my last recommendation was submitted on 5th Dec. Still waiting for the verification mail ! All the Best Guys
