Apologies for joining this thread so late.. I have just skimmed through the last 10 pages, and it has been very enlightening..
I've got an 'ok' score of 700 in the GMAT and i will have about 2 years 10 months work-ex in a manufacturing firm by March 2013.. I've got the verification mail with the "if shortlisted" clause 😉 on 18th December..
I dont know if this has been discussed already, but does anyone have an idea about when the interview might happen (if shortlisted) based on my GMAT score and work-ex? (I am assuming that the interviews will happen based on those two parameters, but I could be wrong). I have kept Hyd (Mum) as my preferred region..
I am working in Gujarat, and the 5-7 day window makes it tough to make any plans regarding the last minute (and usually horribly expensive) flights.. Trains are out of the question as connectivity of Hyderabad to my part of Gujarat is atrocious for some reason..
Some people were saying that based on my score, and low work-ex the interview can be only in the second half of Jan.. Would this be accurate?

@schint There is no proved theory about the interview calls. Everything that you hear and read are purely dependent on prediction from people like you and me.
For me, the most convincing theory is that the interview date depends on your work profile. ISB will try its best to allocate a interview panel that is quite related to what you do so the interview dates purely depend on the availability of that panel.
And as far as your travel plans go, I know of a R2 applicant staying in North Eastern states of India and who opted for Hyderabad as interview location. To make it a bit more feasible for his travel plans he sent an email to the adcom requesting then to intimate him at least 10 days before the interview if he were to be shortlisted for an interview. The adcom was considerable enough to actually intimate him 10 days prior to the scheduled date.
@raghupro oh wow.. An intimation 10 days in advance would really help a lot.. Will send a mail to the adcom about this.. Thanks a lot for that information.. :D
On a slightly different note, is anyone from Gujarat already on this thread interested for a meetup?
@schint I have 2 yrs 8 months work-ex(manufacturing) till march 2013, and have got an interview call from Hyd(mum). So there is no fixed format. they can call you anytime.
Monday to Thursday are the days which are a little relaxed for me... Coz Hyd(Mum) get I/v on weekends... and 5-7 days in advance means around friday to sunday... If it does not arrive in these days I have to wait for another week anticipating a call.... ISB is a master of buildding up anxiety....
@vjmannur dude, have u given CAT as well or preparing for any of the other entrance tests. I'm asking because that's the only way you can take your mind off waiting for a call....personal experience

I think the first link has the correct dates. The interview calls are a bit delayed this time and hence the revised dates.
Any R2 applicants who were sent a mail to further clarify aspects of the application got a confirmation mail yet?
