Your point 1 and 5 are inconsistent.. Alpha male? And do not try to be one of the boys. And I am curious to know about the feminine twists?I did get point 5 though. But if you are assertive enough then 3 shouldnt be a problem.
Most important thing for any manager is to get "respect" from his /her peers and subordinates and you need to behave appropriately.
And @garima.agrawal , was that a rhetorical question or did u actually face such a situation.
No one will openly say "You are a female so I refuse to work for you" .. But if one does get such a feeling then the best bet would be to talk about it, try to resolve it , if not escalate it to the next level.
Also some self introspection for why such a thought came across. I am a girl and I have seen many lady managers who talk non office related stuff all the time , (home-makeup etc) and then suddenly expect people to give respect.Male managers who try to act like they are one of us by boozing excessively, talking too much , no respect there either.

I was only poining out that i/v at locations other than Hyd will be going on till Feb. 10. I have not come across any post on PG reporting i/v calls for Hyd location in last one week.
So I thought that may be i/v calls have stopped coming for Hyd location.
I hope I am totally wrong on this one.
